I'm well into developing a TC....

Whoa! Is that for my tc?!? Cool, thanks! And that sidebar is pretty nifty. Now I guess you people will want screenshots....

Here's a screenshot showing off Cosmic Nuisance's sidebar, and my new bluish cursor.

And here's my new loading screen.

รœberness. And that sidebar is amazing. Whoever did that is a genius! ๐Ÿ˜›

I call beta!

Hah! I don't think I'm quite there yet, but thanks anyway!

Thanks! I did that menu screen in a 3d program, partially. And thanks for the sidebar.

Time for today's update! I recolored a lot of graphics, finished the new menu screen, and started re doing some STR#'s. I might re-do my music partially tomorrow, but most likely not.

Might want to work more on your buttons if you plan on keeping the Nova-esque menu. Because I'm pretty sure your TC's name isn't Escape Velocity Nova, hence "Quit Nova" and "About Nova" doesn't quite make sense.

I'm sure I'll re do the main menu at least once before I release ANY version, and I'll probably redo the buttons too.

And as soon as I fiigure out how to change the name of my topic, I'll update it to reflect the name of my TC.

Do a full edit on the initial post of the thread. You can change title and subtitle there.

Okay, thanks. NOW THE WORLD KNOWS THE NAME OF MY GREATEST CREATION!!!! MWAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAAA!!!!!!

Okay, today I made an extremely wickedly crafted mission, that makes my universe that much more involving. It's such a great mission that I specifically made a spob for it! It may even have more missions connected to it later on! . Oh, and I also made a spob. It has a new spacestation graphic that I made recently. Tomorrow I need to add another space station, and start work on a new orginazation.

You know how you can have an outfit that grants you a rank? The people who made the credit card accounts that you can buy in the plugpack v17 did this. Well I'll implement that, but I'll also implement a system where you buy a membership card and you join an govt where you get access to free refuelling and repairing from ships of that govt, but you pay on it each day. If you sell the card, then you are no longer a member and you no longer get any benefit. So if you are stuck with no power and no cash, or are drifting disabled through space... You get the picture ๐Ÿ˜‰

Free fuel? I think that's handled on the engine level and there's nothing you can do about it...

No, he means like a Roadside Assistance type thing. It's pure brilliance, if you ask me. Basically the ships of the government will always repair and refuel the player for free as long as the player has the "membership" card.

Well, of course it's brilliant!! (joking) Thanks. Yes, that is what I was referring to. You can even look at the rank resource in mission computer; it has a button that says 'govt and its allies will repair/refuel player for free', as well as numerous other fun things like 'govt and its allies will always assist the player in battle if asked' and such. Plus, I was going to attach a minor sto-whoops! Said too much!

I'm planning on- Whoops! Said too much. ๐Ÿ˜›

Okay, today I implemented the Traveller's Aid Society, which works just fine, and made a graphic for the membership card.. I also tweaked some stuff and started work on my first custom missile.

Here's a traveller's aid society variant of an Artisan heavy freighter.

Kinda like Triple-A for space pilots?

That's it. I'll upload an outfitter picture of the 'membership card' later. It costs, but it's very useful.

One thing about this TC is that money is worth more. You pay a landing fee every time you land on a planet, so you are always losing money. Stuff is less expensive, so 20 grand is always valuable. Missiles are expensive, and you can only carry a couple of dozen of them. That kind of thing.

You hear an agonized scream over the comm system as the first Zodiac in the convoy goes up in flames. You grit your teeth and send your craft into a dive, locking primary weapons onto the bogey. You open fire and a blazing volley of shots tears towards the target, ripping off an aerofoil and sending it into a spin. A final bolt kills the bogey and you tear past in a turn, searching for the other Zodiac. There! Vector X 125, Y 043, Z 432... You scream through space towards the ship but then your sensors pick up another bogey heading in! The Zodiac turns and opens up with its three primary guns, but the gunner is unskilled, he misses. You slip towards the bogey's six, but before you can waste him he launches a missile! <Heatseeker, Armed, Bearing X 125, Y 043, Z 432, Speed 55KPS> your targeting sytems report. You let out a semi- audible growl as the missile rips into the almost defenseless-compared to any fighter ship-Zodiac, blowing it in two. The bogey radio's you. "Take off, merc," the helmeted bogey says. "Nothing to escort here-" You cut him off with a bolt through the cockpit section which rips the front of the ship off and leaves it drifting, but the victory is hollow. You sit in space surveying the wreckage, and sigh. There goes that, you think. Blast. You set course of inhabited space.

Here's an example of a mission desc. This was a failure text, but unfortunately I can't use it like I'd hoped.
