I think 60 levels is optomistic. I don't think there should be so many bonuse levels. I do think we should keep working! By the way- who is going to compile the levels? There should also be beta testers, this should be a big deal. I will try to make a cool website. BTW Once more- what is our expected release date? June 2001?

I am working on a level called "From tranquility to tempest"at the moment. An ice level with snow and wind. Someone posted a topic a while ago about how to make snow with the help of wind. Please tell me how to do this so I can continue my work. I think it was Aschaaf who did this.

All you need to do is use wind. It should be pointed down, and be about 90 strength.

PLEASE don't close this topic, Spamguy. You'll notice that the Officer's Club bar wasn't shut down, and it has something like 21 pages. I don't see how anyone can complain about load times; once the page numbers have loaded, you can just click on the last one with no real load time difference. The only thing that makes the load time shorter is if a topic is one page.
On to the project at hand...
I think we should keep at this thing until it falls apart (if that ever occurs). At the very least we'll all have gained substantial experience creating Ferazel's Wand levels.
Right now I'm having lots of trouble with things like the FG tiles available for the ice world. I was hoping I could use the "define FG tiles" menu option in some way to let me use sideways facing spikes, however there are no sideways spikes tiles available for the ice terrain in any of the data files so that pretty much wrecks my nice level...

I am currently working on a neat Skiing level for Ferazzel's wand. I say, we put in an extra 1 or 2 kingdoms with just secret levels and you open it by finding all secrets in all other kingdoms (just an idea). My level has things like ski jumps and wraiths and neat things like that. Any suggestions on how to improve it??

Sucess! Horay! I have created new sprites! I made an object with three gray pixels spead out over the area of a habnabit, Then, giving it an ID that was just after all the other characters (2966), I put it in MASCOT Graphics and in the Ferazel Sprites, and it worked!! When you moved over the sprite, it opened the conversation!! You can use this to make it look like pedastals, ghosts, or plants are talking!! Or, you could make a character as a scenery object, and put the "ghost conv" sprite over it!
Also, I made a scenery sprite at ID 2718.
I'll post more about this later tonight, or tomorrow.

We should definitly continue with the project until it falls apart if it ever does. It's easy to get spikes to hurt. You must find the ID for normal walls, and then add whatever no. the thing says at the bottom about "tile + hurt value in level info" or something like that. For instance if it said, 300-400, and the wall value was 5, the new one would be 305. I am not in mascot and don't want to bother to open it right now so I don't know the real no.'s.
So, new sprites? Heh heh heh... Can you only make caractrers? Or do you think you can make another jumping creature that attacks you with an axe? (without deleting the axe murderers)
About music... Do you think we should include some new music files? Or will they take up too much megs? I'm for it. Posted somwhere on the EV Developer's board: "It doesn't matter how big it is, if it's good people will DL it." I also think we should, cause we're making new spells, sprites, levels, graphics, tiles, and everything else, so why not music? It's a TC for Ferazel's wand!

I think we should have two versions, light (NOT "lite"! I hate the word "lite"!!), and full. Only the full one would have music.

Sure. Yes, I do know how convert files. I do NOT, I repeat, NOT want to get a 20MB file! The computer I'm on now DLs at about 1.5k/s :frown:.
I agree with Aschaaf. Modifying sprites or music files would just make the file too big. I run internet on a iMac 56k internal modem which only gives me 45333 bps, and on top of that I get disconnected often without a reason.
I just got an idea about graphics... Maybe if the person who made the new graphics just sent the pictures with a following instruction file that says how to install it. Then people could just follow the instructions and paste the graphic files into "Ferazel Sprites" or whatever with resedit.

I want to make the level that comes before this level. I an have an idea: What if we put a "Mysterious figure" around in the worlds who told the players strange things and gave them clues, and who disappeared after talked to?
