ONE BIG WORLD...

How do you edit scenery? Definately make a ghost spirte Once I figured out what you were talking about it made sense 🙂

BTW- Maybe Regan didn't break "the curse" 🙂

Taryn and Sara are both completely useable. I have used them in some of my early levels.

Dubya? Bill Gates? Why not both? 🙂

Anyone mind if I make the "Prison" level at the beginning?

I think Emporer Ent wanted to do this.

My latest tests show that there are at least 12 free scenery IDs.
Now we get to fight over who gets to use them... 🙂

We should each get one. Plus a few extras we can all use. One neutrally colored iMac, we could tint it the various colors. So we each would get one for a character, and the iMac. That's 9 scenery pieces, right? What else do we want?

A scroll would be nice.
A wall-mounted computer would be nice also.

Never mind.
Those would be "characters".

I think there should be a library somewhere.
It could have books like “The Complete Bushisims”, “Inside Macintosh: Macintosh Toolbox Essentials”, and “The Hobbit”.
Ferazel could read a few pages of each.

Also, I think some things (not nesasarily in the Library) should be written in another language, and if Ferazel has a translation book (or gem, wand, crystal...) then he can read them.
Otherwise, he’ll just see something like “jkf iubnsw grnbsoome mfoiasd tlntoun”.

Another thing:
In Captin CrowleyÂ’s mines, I plan on having Ferazel get lots on gold.
Maybe we should have the blacksmith charge Ferazel a lot of money.

All good ideas! I think that we shouldn't use computers too much more than in the original. ( But iMacs are fine! 🙂 )

OK, aschaaf, I sent you another e-mail, this time with the attachments 🙂

By the way, my name is Andrew like yours, my dad's name is Alan.

Wait till you guys see the secret passage put in Misunderestimation! Always remember, that spring block has to have some meaning... (hint hint) C'mon, hasn't anybody else discovered this bug? (hint hint) Uh-oh. A scary thought occured. What if the bug is fixed in later versions? Well, then my level is VERY hard. 🙂

hehe. Sounds fun.
I haven't tried it yet, because I'm only 50% done getting the e-mail so far.

Sorry I haven't been here for a while. Anyway, I think if you tinted the computer, the whole thing would tint. What I think is you should make a piece for the shell and keyboard, and one for the monitor.

P.S. I won't be here during Mac World since I'm helping out with it.

Oh, to do the scrambled text for the books, I have a special program to scramble text by randomly modifying the ASCII value. I'll post it for downloads tomorrow.

Ferazel Rocks!
Cythera's 'Team Stories' Rock!

I'd love to help in the OBG project...i'm a newbie on the Ferazel boards, but I'm figuring out the level editor, and just because I'm a newbie it doesn't mean I'm bad--I got to Parched Sands on my fourth day I had the game. 🙂 I also could write music for it. The level editor supports MIDIs, right? You could tell me what the level is called or where it is (for instance, a castle) and I'll make a soundtrack just from that information. I'm a pianist and have a lot of experience with computer music. I don't have the tools to do something like what Eric Speier did, but I could send you a sample or something if you like. Now lets hope someone reads this post, since it's at the end of a 6 page topic. 🙂

Remember, this conversation never took place.

Finally finished Delusions of Mediocrity. I'll e-mail it to ascaaf to post on the site. There's a bug (more like an unintended feature) 😉 with the quicksand. You'll see what I mean.

I believe that we should start a topic discussing story ideas for a large world, and then have each of us make a few (good);) levels for it. We could write new music, make a new storyline, new sounds, pictures, and anything else which I have forgotten how to change. This is a vote. Anybody who wants to do this, reply to this message with a name for the world or anything else you can think of that might be helpful. This will be the largest world ever! Ha ha ha...

Quote somebody who I don't remember:
