It's not that part that I was talking about. It's the part where everyone was mentioning the Rebellion as a gov't in the story. Cuz we are doing it preEV right?
Maybe we could also make the alien fighter a little slower so it's not so difficult to destroy.
Same as or similar to would probably be best, since it's what we are all used to.

A few things: First, the light fusion beam in EV is really weak, so four light ones is not anywhere near the power of the heavy one. Second, it's rather hard to strategize with just two types of ships, especially with the fighter's and battlecruiser's difference in power, AND considering that the Alien Fighter in EV can't kill a rock. So, I think the Aliens should get at least one new ship (preferably the Destroyer) and fix the Alien Fighter's stats so that you can destroy it, as that is rather hard in stock EV, and so that it can destroy other things. With that in mind, revised stats follow:
Alien Fighter Shields: 80 Armor: 30 Speed: 500 Accel: 700 Turning: 240 Weapons: 4 Light Fusion Beams 1 Seeker Drone Launcher + 8 Seeker Drones
Alien Destroyer Shields: 600 Armor: 300 Speed: 325 Accel: 400 Turning: 120 Weapons: 3 Light Fusion Beams 1 Turreted Fusion Beam (can we keep these?) 3 Seeker Drone Launchers + 40 Seeker Drones

I was hoping more people would join main factions: last webstory there were almost more independant players than main storyline players, and the story didn't work.

In my never humble opinion, I think you should try to avoid changing stats too much. For instance, there is no reason to give the alien cruiser a turreted fusion beam. The aliens never used one, so there has to be a reason, most likely due to their organic ships being grown with a hole in the front for the beam, and no way to pivot it, or due to energy constraints from such large shields and such a massive beam. If you don't like it, don't be the aliens. Also realize that that lone cruiser is easy in EV, but if it isn't the last of it's kind, the cruisers would likely hunt in wolfpacks of three or more, and while you may be able to stay behind one of the cruisers, you would get crushed by two other fusion beams lancing your hull.
As a method of balance, simply give the Confeds larger numbers of ships than the aliens get. That is how the story says we won, by pumping out ships faster than they could kill them and then attacking their homeworld.
Of course, I am not playing, so feel free to ignore me, but I think it would be better if you took this under advisement.

Fair enough. Do you want to stick to the exact stats for the Fighter and Battlecruiser, then? The Aliens' new ship will be the Destroyer, but I want to find out about the Fighter and Battlecruiser before I design the final Destroyer stats.
Also, two questions: 1: Who are the mods besides Luke? 2: What are the factions? I haven't seen a clear answer for this yet.

I think there should be a way of introducing the Confederation. It only existed because the aliens attacked, so if the aliens show up while the story is happening, the "Confederation" as we know it should not exist in the beginning. Or we could just start immediately after its formation.

Well, I posted a topic suggesting we start a webstory. Whether or not I run it is a different story. Unless you want me too. I mean, I never have before, and I wouldn't consider myself that well organized, either.
Well, the main storyline is Aliens/Feds, because it takes place before EV, which is the Great War. But, there have to be at least a few factions that don't directly participate in a huge war, so...
we should start after the formation, probably. Would make things easier.
