Well, obviously the idea comes to mind of keeping the Rebellion and Confederacy as seperate, temporarily having signed a cease-fire for the purpose of combatting the aliens. Could open up quite a few subplots and underhanded dealings.

I wouldn't be posting as unregistered if my brother hadn't made a spelling error in the adress box of my profile while editing it. And a ask you kindly to check the webstories that Unreal/Stardust (that's right unreal--I know who you are) participated in...you will find his misconcept of physics, unfair manipulation of story rules, and overall pathetic writing lead to each stories early downfall. So therefore I have warned you...if you must accupt this man then let not moderation be granted to him lest your fall be after the fiftth page and not the sixth...
P.S. Charmin I apriciate you feelings to protect citizens of the board, But I know Unreal--I have been monitering his posts...He has changed little in a year...If you delete this post thene know well you sow the seeds of your destructon...
Thanks for being a little webboard stalker, im honored. But guess what, ive matured up in a year. you have just been looking in the boozerama bar . Thats a post for absoulty(sp) nothing that is real. So that post is out of the question. Anyway, Thats why i want to be mod, being mod doesnt mean that i am a player in the webstory, Duh! But if i cant be mod than ill happly play as a player. But 3 mods are better than 2. Because 1 could say nay, and the other could say yay, and your at a stand still. But with 3, 2 could say nay and thats the end of that.

They were used for another webstory. Dont use the colors unless we are going to have that many governments.
Sorry bout the dubble post.
I have a question. Is the time setting during the Great War? Because if it is then there isn't a Rebellion, because they came around after the war.

The fact that you are posting in the Boozerama bar changes little...Your posts are incoherent (much like the bar itself) and your gramar is still poor...You are likely Post-Drunk and will soon have a hangover...I myself would REFUSE being a mod in a webstry as the possition is dishonorable--a playerr should not be able to moderate as the rules cn be bent in favor of the player. You hide behind mods and members to mask your true face Capt. Stardust/Unreal Centipede...youare not worthy of the title "member" and so I will not defile myself from posting futher...

I don't think you have the grounds to make that insult.

Threats don't really make mods happy, but luckily I really don't care if you threaten me Anyway, if your posts are coherent and explain why you think something (not flaming like the first one) then I really have no reason to delete them.
If you'd like to continue this discussion further, email me at chamrin@evula.org.
Otherwise, just let Unreal Centipede be, it isn't the end of the world.

I might join, depending upon the rules and foundation.
Of course, even if I ask to be a mod (with all of my experience as a mod, player, and organizer), I doubt I'd be appointed (you people seem to think I'm unfair :frown:). But I'll ask anyway.
In any case, I strongly petition for the inclusion of a handful of limited extramajor organizations. Personally, I would love to be the Chairman / CEO of Atinoda, and can play the role very fairly, and without resorting to hard formulas. I believe that my experience playing these types of roles before grants me unique insight into how to successfully play them, and would appreciate the ineptitude of neophytes to the role to be excluded as a deciding factor.
If I can't play the part of Atinoda, then I request a spot in the Confederation (perhaps CINC of SOUTHCOM, or control of the Confederate Senate).

Hmm. Well, I want to get as many people as possible for this. I guess once we draw up sides we should have an actual election, because I know not everyone would want to be a leader. Leaders could then rank and such from there.
So, General Rak, I say you can be in the story, but tossing in a ruling body along with the military is pretty extreme. I say the "President" of the team is the head of the military, and the government. The idea with corporations is interesting- how would you impliment it?

Well you were the one who suggested the more free approach of BfS I. I just suggested that because it goes along with the approach.
As for corporations, here are a few thoughts.
The corporation could partially act like a government (building a few ships for defense, constructing bases or mining installations, engaging in warfare), but also produce and market ships (in very reasonable numbers). The author would spend time detailing business engagements, small research projects, construction, marketing, fleet exercises, etc. Perhaps they could also monopolize the research of (albeit very few) new designs - that way, governments would want to bargain with and ally themselves with corporations, and corporations would do the same. It adds a bit of a wildcard element into the scenario to mix things up a bit from the usual Rebel - Confed - Pirate war arc.
If you want practical information on how corporations can influence a game, look up some of the previous webstories. I played Rauthor in a long EV:N story, Atinoda (or was it Zaxted) in one EV story, and I believe I may have played a company in another webstory on here.
In any case, I have the practical experience and knowledge to prevent most problems that usually occur with a third party (total annihilation quickly, turning into a major government, being too conventional). So I urge you to consider granting my petition.
