"Sir, we have some bad news." The communications officer yelled it to Azdara Ace from the other side of the bridge.
"What is it? What happened?" Worry crossed across Azdara Ace's face.
"It's the disabled destroyer sir, it's gone. We were going up there to bring her down for repairs, and the fighters flying coverage had a fligt misfunction, crashing into the Destroyers, totally destroying it. Azdara Ace gripped his command chair, a cold feeling mounting at the pit of his stomach.
"How many ships were lost?"
"1 destroyer, and the flight of 4 fighters. Luckily, the only people on the Destroyer were some technicians, so there was low loss of life."
"And what of those Alien Interceptors? Have they arrived yet?"
"Well, that's the rest of the bad news. It appears that they were really Empire-Loyal, the governor reported them attempting to leave the system 2 hours ago."
"And he didn't tell us?????"
"No sir, but, he did destroy them."
"How?"
"When he learned that they were leaving, overhearing a conversation, he planted bombs in each interceptor. He didn't respond for 2 hours because he went out to where they crashed, to kill any survivers. He's convinced most Alien troops on the planet to aid our cause, and the one who didn't he threw into jail."
"Excellent. Please inform me when you get any more news."
"Yes sir."

Mod post - RC, you cannot move another person's fleet. You can send them orders, commands and such, but the commanding officer of a fleet is the only one who can move it.

Jimbob was sitting in his office in the GT-ONE when suddenly a sergeant burst in. "sir, we have received a transmission from President Skyblade!" He reported.
"Excellent. I shall bring it up now." Jimbob pushed a button on his computer screen and the message came up: "Lieutenant Commander Jimbob, I want you to make you next move an attack of the Ellosondor system. Do not waste time, do it within the next 1400 hours. And restock and re-fit your ships before depature. Good luck."
"Right then, order all ships to eneter hyperspace, target system, Ellosondor." At this instant another soldier barged into the room. "Sir, an alien fleet has just entered the system, and it's headed by the Alien Emperor! The good news is that President Skyblade has sent us ten more destroyers for battle."
"I see" Jimbob said. Jimbob turned to the first sodlier. "Change that order. Command all fleets to be ready for battle within the hour."

Jimbob released his fighters, and put them into a box shaped unit. He then ordered the Athena Gunships to form a V shape, and also Odysseus Cuisers. The reamaning Destroyers and Gunships formed a double stacked line like this:= The Titan Battlecruisers moved next to eachother, so the enemy fleet wouldn't know which ship Jimbob was in. As soon as the enemy fleet was in range, all ships began firing Plasma Torpedos. The torpedos hit the front line of interceptors and Heavy fighters, and did substantial damage to them, destroying about 10 of each. This lead to Jimbob's discover that these fighter had no sheilds at all. Because of this many of them fell during the first few rounds of Torpedo fire.
The fighters dove in and began work finishing off the rest of the Interceptors and Heavy Fighters, while the Athenas and Thunderclaps began attacking the Destoyers and Heavy Cuisers. The Thunderclaps took out a most of the Destroyers under heavy Plsma beam/turret and plasma rocket attack, while the Athenas took out a heavy cruiser and damaged one. At this point the Cruisers and Titans began firing torpedos upon the Battlegunships, damaging them down to about 70 sheilds. The fight continues...

Good grief, talk about a change in rules here... I don't think that should be permitted for any side within a webstory, but that's your call.

For the record, Senester, Orne, Verdica, Sovet, and Rikard are now in Dreden Rebellion hands. Azdara is in the Sovet system, and the Verdica defense fleet (10 destroyers) has been deployed.
101st Brigade, branch from Skyblade's Warfleet
All these ships are simply forming another battlegroup, and the numbers are subtracted from my last fleet numbers.
While the bulk of the 101st Warfleet prepared to attack its next target, the 101st Brigade hyperspaced for Verdica to assist Jimbob in his defense of the system. Azdara Ace would arrive in Verdica once the order was given. For now, his fleet lay silent in Sovet, preparing for the worst.

Zom had a single alien cruiser patrolling the system upon the 101st's arrival: Just the kind of ship the Dreden loved to engage. It's very sluggish performance and old age made it vulnerable to high-end technology.
The two alien fighters which dashed out of the cruiser's hull were decimated. Plasma stingers, torpedoes, bolts and rockets made short work of them. Meanwhile, the Liberty prepared to send the Imperial warship a gift. The cruiser was busy with twenty Destroyers which pounded its hull when the Trinity cannons fired. The large purple beams shot through the Imperial cruiser like a knive through paper, neutralizing its shields, disabling its engines, and setting off the ammunition. Before the energy from the Trinity beams decreased, they managed to saw the target into two pieces. The alien cruiser broke up and exploded, moderately damaging a nearby Dreden Destroyer.
Moments later, the enemy defense fleet was on its way. Ten gunboats split up into two seperate formations and made a mad dash at the 101st. Their luck was short lived. As the gunboats together destroyed a few Dreden vessels, the mighty invading juggernaught covered the area with plasma fire. It became so dense that the darkness of space couldn't be seen. The green fire continued until the gunboats were no more, and torpedoes finished off everything that remained.

Jager was sitting in his command chair considering what to do next. He didn't want to invade HC territory yet because the time wasn't right.The Dreden Rebellion was invading Alien territory. Mabe if the technissions could shut down the jump gate there would not be a need for a fleet in the system.

"You can see the years of hardship the people of Zom have been through," Skyblade said as he walked through the streets of the planet's capital, accompanied by Deckerd and a squad of elite troopers. "A bunker on every block, industrial buildings everywhere, polution destroying the atmosphere, the list goes on."
"Not to mention the forced labor," Deckerd added. "I can't blame Zom's resistance to Imperial rule. Even though we are humans fighting for our very own survival, the residents regard us as liberators."
"So much the better," Skyblade responded. "Stubborn citizens with a will to fight, and a good reason, make conquering a long and bloody conflict. The alien planets are doing themselves, as well as us, a favor by excepting us as we come."
A Dreden Captain, accompanied by two guards, ran up and saluted.
"The 101st is fueled up, and ammo supply replentished. We're ready to move out upon your command, sir," the Captain said.
"Very well," Skyblade said as he looked at the officer. He gave the man a salute and turned to Deckerd.
"Back to business again. Vork is our next target, the vital link between our worlds. Too much pressure in the north will distract the aliens attacks on the 42nd. Let us be swift."
Wow, this suddenly slowed down quite a bit. I'll go ahead and post the battle at Vork.
"Nothing here. Seems as though the aliens were expecting Vork to be our next target, as there is not a single vessel in the system." The comm operator continued to glance at his viewscreen and computer systems, but nothing showed up on the sensors.
"Only makes our job easier," Deckerd replied. "The Empire is currently busy with their assault on the 42nd, so we can expect little resistance at the time being."
"Vork defense fleet on its way," the comm operator broke in. "Bearing 3:00, approximately 300,000 kilometers away and closing. Enemy composed of twelve heavy fighters."
"Let them have it," Skyblade ordered.
Hundreds of torpedoes rushed toward the slow and obsolete fighters as they attempted to dodge the certain death. The enemy fighters that did manage to escape the torpedoes were thrust backward from waves of rockets and stingers. Dreden fighters rushed in for the kill from behind, while the destroyer force distracted the Imperial fighters. It was all over in what seemed like seconds.
Skyblade, still staring at the viewscreen, was quite impressed with the swift destruction.
"I believe we've learned a few good anti-defense fleet tactics these past few weeks, wouldn't you say?"
The officers aboard the bridge gave a brief chuckle. Vork lasted no time at all.

Asriel began removing his fighters from the thick of the battle. He did have one advantage -- he had wasted very little ammo. Asriel's fleet fired off most of their LRBMs now at the HC heavies, taking out the Intrepid cruiser, as well as two Destroyer M7s.
(Again, I have to go. Sorry 'bout that. Mac, I'm not happy with the way you're moderating this battle. If it goes on for much longer, you may see a "And then it happened. Asriel conjured up a buster cannon and destroyed Mac's fleet" kind of post.)

"Excellent. I believe that we just await Skyblade's order. We are holding our position here to keep the Alien Emperor Rebel Council from escaping. Send that newer program off to Skyblade, we need to be able to freely send and receive coded messages." The communications officer typed in a few buttons and then looked up.
"Done, sir."
Captain Alexander walked up from behind Azdara Ace. "Any formation you'd like the fleet to hold?"
"Yes, make sure the fighters and capital ships stay close together. Our fighters will need the extra firepower if the Aliens are to attack our position." Azdara Ace looked out at space, watching, and waiting.

Actually, I've been thinking about that a little, and you happened to get back just before I was going to do something to my last post. So, I'm going to do one thing you won't like right now, followed by several things you will.
First, the Intrepid has been out of combat recovering shield power for some time now. I'd been intending to say its shields were back up to about 40% in my next post, so I don't think you have enough LRBMs anymore to kill it outright. We're certainly back to heavil damaged, though. I expect that a salvo like that would take out a couple more of my pickets, though.
Now, in this battle, my fighters have all disengaged, so there was no reason for the last of your fighters to get wiped out. We'll give those back. Also, I was a bit rougher on the number of Corvettes than I should have been, I think. I was slightly tired and annoyed, not a good combination. Your massive attempted attack on my Stingrays probably should have gone a bit better too, so I'll dock another set of those.

The fight continued raging with the new reinforcements from President Skyblade. The Ahtenas took out a second heavy cruiser, but were heavily damaged and pulled out of the fight. At the same time the many, many Thunderclaps finished off the last of the Destroyers. At this time the destroyers and cruisers began work on the fighters, and wiped out quite a few with Plasma rockets and Plasma turrets. While they were doing this, the Titan ships began firing Plasma torpedos at the Battlecruisers. There little manuverability made them easy targets. The seeker drones smashed against the ships hauls, but it didn't do much damage. The two swung around and began firing heavily on one and managed to take it out. At this time they swung around out of beam range and fired more torpedos. It became apparent that they were running low, so they's have to finish soon.
The newly accuired fighters began helping the destroyers and cruisers on the fighters, and killed them all off. They then turned at began attacking the remaining two heavy cruisers. The detonator blisters hurt the fighters quite a bit, but the thunderclaps and and cruiser picked off one before too many fighetrs were lost. The last ones sheilds were already weakened from previous attacks, so the thunderclaps and Odysseus made short work of it. They proceded to swing around and begin firing their last torpedos at the battlecruisers, and took out one of them with the help of the Titans. At this time another fleet was seen coming from the right, but were out of attack range.
"Great, just great" Jimbob muttered as he ran out of torpedos along with the most of the other vessels. "All ships, enagage in close range battle with the remaning battlecruisers!!" This was done immediatly, and after a few minutes they were gone. The Dreden ships turned and faced the last cruiser. The crew decided it would be better to run then die, and began flying away towards the other fleet. At this time Jimbob sent a message to Azdara Ace: My fleet has taken out most of the emperors fleet, but has suffered some serious damage. I think I shall be needing your help now.

"Oh boy, what now?" Azdara Ace didn't exactly like the way things had been going recently, he needed to do something. He was getting annoyed at his whole crew, which could turn out to be the greatest weakness of his fleet if he didn't conquer it. Part of the reason for his annoyed behavior was due to the fact that he had not slept for at least 30 hours.
"Sir, the package was larger than expected, and the loading time is very slow at the moment. It's going to be a while until Skyblade get's the program."
"Setbacks... Mr. Alexander, I'm going to go get some much needed sleep, I trust that you will keep everything under control."
"Of course Admiral. Our sensors are at full range set at Verdica, so if any Alien ships head this way, we'll have around a 5 hour warning before they arrive."
"Very good, thank you. Now I need some rest."
