..... And then the worst entered in the form of Pilky.

... Meanwhile GrahamVH stares in confusion as to why Zerowarrior and Tarnćlion Andiyarus are fighting. Also knowing that Zerowarrior hasn't a chance since Tarnćlion wields the one power only bestowed upon those of whom have achieved the title of moderator.

Because Pilky knew the awful truth -- That ellrx was Debra's long lost son who was captured by Stark when he was just a babe. And so Stark, who is much more evil than anybody knows, taught ellrx the evil of his ways. And ellrx, then, also knew who young Daniel really was. And that not even Stark knows that Daniel isn't REALLY his son, for it was ellrx who stole Daniel away from Pilky and switched Stark's real son at birth. But Pilky knows, because there's a birthmark on the REAL Daniel's backside. And the birthmark looks suspiciously like a Rubber Ducky.
Meanwhile, GrahamVH continues to be frozen to the ground, staring with disbelief. And wondering if the cosmos will return to normal.

Enter OgreBob, riding in on his 350XP Potbellied Pigmobile.
"Hold everything! That's not Andiyar!"
A gasp springs up out of the crowd.
OgreBob rushes over to Zerowarrior and starts to pull on his face.. and lo! It was a mask! Out pops Andiyar! ...But who is he fighting??
Dun dun duuun!
Stay tuned for next episode!
------------------ "Stiney! Get me a danish!"
Is this to what I am thus reduced - a birthmark on the rump of the newest moderator-to-be.
And a strange birthmark it is indeed!
. . . . The true Rubber Ducky . . . .
Daniel's lineage has been called into question with the discovery of the floating birthmark. This bespeaks of more than soap opera, the baby swapping and power jousting over several continents is akin to a Gilbert & Sullivan plot.
Is it my imagination, or has this thread wandered a tad off course?

And then I woke up.
And then Graham woke up to find, to his horror, that Andiyar's foe was none other than ....
Who? But Andiyar knows. He knows the one with the StoneCold heart. Andiyar faces his evil brother. The StoneCold heart smirks, in code, as Andiyar eyes him unwillingly. Then, suddenly, Andiyar watches, terrified, as bugs crawl out of his evil foe's ears his eyes his nose. How can young Daniel be saved? How can young Daniel learn the ways of Right and Good and Cunning Attitude? The world is ... the world is just too ....

I just had a genius idea!!!! You know how Final Fantasy has like a million of the same games, many in which do not have to do with each other. What if you, maybe along with Ambrosia, and made it a follow up of the POG game. Think, it could be POG II: Legends. Maybe tinker with the storyline to make it fit in more. I think they would definately go for that. Again, (all), let me hear your thoughts on the subject. I think this would be highly possible, and would be beneficial to both you Graham and to Ambrosia. If graphic arts a problem, let me know, and I'll give you a hand. Perfected Mimicry is a gift, not a loss of talent or idea.
Andiyar laughs
Oh man. That was a very funny episode indeed. After my exam today (which I should be studying for, but I'm taking a quick break ) I might have to see what I can come up with.
And sorry, Graham, for the thread hijack. I think we might need to start up a new thread for this... we'll see.

Graham, have you considered marketing your own game? What I mean by that is, placing it on the internet for sale after you beta-test it. Registering your own company isn't difficult. Taxes are a drag. Paypal works wonderfully well, at least in my experience. And you'll need to set up a system to handle the load. I do hope that you don't give up and that you continue to make games and make them available to people who want to pay and play them.

Thanks Debra! I have spoken to Andrew and he states that I may sell my game without licence or charge. Even with the graphics from the Coldstone game engine.

That is very cool. But you've got to let me redesign some stuff for you, so the game feel original. Like the Title Screen, maybe the MIL (Map Interface layout) image, so I can get POG out of my head when I play it. I can do some good stuff.

Thanks for the offer. I would like to have an example of your artistic ability first.
I'm a bit confused after these last few posts. Is the final word: you can sell the game by forming your own company?
------------------ Clones are people two. If UPS and Fed-Ex merged, would they be Fed-Up? A man who's out to save Gidolan Keep, flies an Auroran ship, and hacks into computers to keep the bricks from falling past the line of destiny? Yep, that's me!

There's creating and then there's distributing. If you can't find a company (like Ambrosia or Electronic Arts) who will distribute the game for you, then to distribute (sell) the game yourself, you'll need to form a company. The main reasons for this are taxes and having a legal sales license, which happens when you register your own company. But, like I wrote in the other thread, this is not difficult to do.
So unless somebody like Ambrosia distributes the game, then Grahm must either create his own company to sell it. If he doesn't want to do this, then he's forced to make the game free. Is this what it boils down to?
