Where can I start Coldstone ?? or with what ?
------------------
Coldstone is (presently) a Mac only game engine. I runs on both OS 9.x and 10.x. If you own a PeeCee, then it won't work for you(sorry).
Oh and welcome to the boards (again?)

double click the "Coldstone" or "Coldstone (OS X)" icon and uh, work away? choose a tutorial, follow the pdf. check out other peoples tutorials, (url="http://"http://www.redknightentertainment.com/rkewerks/htmldavesworld/coldstonelinkspage.html")http://www.redknight...elinkspage.html(/url)

Read the UserManual, come back to the forum, search for credible tips(hint: try not to wake the dead), ask more(educated) questions.

... I'm like Imhotep but don't flaunt it.
I've had Coldstone for like a year and a half and I still don't know how to use it, although this is the farthest I've gotten in the tutorial. I should be proud.

I downloaded Coldstone, fiddled around with it for a few days, and more or less got the hang of it.
The user manual is limited and not 100% accurate. Most of what you learn will be guess and check and just plain fiddling. You'll also learn a lot from this board by asking questions or reading other people's questions/answers. Use the manual for reference.

Oh, and, um, let's not forget that in order to actually use Coldstone to actually build a game, you have to have absolutely no life whatsoever, meticulous to the point of, well, like your great-grandmother who made those circle rugs out of rags, the ability to take creative logic leaps over tall buildings in a single bound (in the fog), and have the patience of Job during an off-day.
Life is good.

I have all those things except the last one. Every project I start I can never finish because I get another idea! >_<

Trust me, you're definitely not the only one...

Isn't that better?' -- T. Pratchett Please correct me if I'm wrong, and expect me to return the favor.
Amen! From when I purchased coldstone in november, I have come up with about 8 ideas, each compiling itself into my new work, The Fall of Abodon.

Also, complimenting previous remarks, the user manual is extremely limited. It only gives you a semi vague idea about the functionality of coldstone. I just made some small, cheap games like tic-tac-toe, and messed around with a "Cosmic-Memory" similar game. Actually, you should try making several games, or you could play around with the tutorial. Plugin development can also be quite fun.
