I found it very amazing when I found out that Coldstone was made with REALBasic. I am a programmer and actaully own REALBasic. I never knew it was capable of making something like Coldstone.
I am a programmer but I could never programm Coldstone with my knowledge of REALBasic.
------------------
Why not? It's never been about the tools used, it's always been about the final product, not that this one is by any means final.

Coldstone was done with REALbasic? Well, that explains much.

Where do you want to (url="http://"http://www.macclassics.com/cythera/tricks/rJade.htm")teleport(/url) today?
The Coldstone editor was made with RealBASIC, which does indeed explain a lot; however, the Coldstone game engine is written in C++.
------------------ I don't know what I'm talking about. Oh no, here comes another learning experience. Oderint dum metuant?
I suppose the engine was written with C++ and the interface and application was compiled with REALBasic.
If you look on the splash screen you will notice it says made with REALBasic. Just look and you'll see it!

If they could do that in RB, I wonder how good it would be if they'd used Cocoa or Carbon with the interface builder rather than that. I think there would be less bugs.
Actualy, RB seems to be a nice tool for small applications, but it seems to invite disaster to use it on a large project, juding from the large RB applications I've used/seen. Crash, crash, crash...

I'll reserve comment until after the bugs are fixed.

Ditto~!~
Does anyone know when (if) the next update will be released?

I believe the official slogan is, "When it is done."
However, before it is released to the public I imagine the update will go through a period of beta testing. Beta testers have not seen anything yet.
So make of that what you will.
What are yout talking about man!?!?!?.....I had that program....Its on my RB disc. It crashed and crashed and was terrible!......Well...I did have a beta version....which explains it all!
REALBasic dosnt seem to have bugs in it to me and write programs with bugs in them. All the apps I have made with REALBasic have been fine. It depends if you bother debugging them or not......The REALBasic debugger is crap. ------------------ Errr.Lousy people with DVD players!...Hey...Did I tell you I'm getting a DVD player soon?
