Tekno Land is mine! If it fails, I'll take Sand.

Wow, I just looked at the Ferazel Backgrounds, and there is some GREAT unused stuff!
There are loads of FG-tiles-that-get-used-when-you-control-click-in-MASCOT. Also, there are some GREAT px backgrounds: #307 #327 #337

I'm guessing that these are easy to do. I'll try it. **(/QUOTE)
I know a good FG/BG tileset developer. He's a Harry tileset designer, but he might be able to do this.
I think making new Tiles sets sounds cool. I personaly I don't like the idea of Tekno. What if we combined sands with ocean to make a island themed level. I would be interested in that. If we could get some tile designers to help that would be great. It would also be cool if we could get someone to design a logo once we decide on a name. I started to set up the other board, but, I am going to be out most of the day. I will continue to work on the plot and setting up the secret board. If we change the Backgrounds and World file, we're looking at a 20+ mbs file.

It's harder than you think to create a cascading background. You have to keep in mind that some places scroll faster than others, and yet making it look nice.

After a few minutes of editing, I have created a level with a new background and a new tile-fill. However, It needs more work before it'll look nice. Click (url="http://"http://www.frontiernet.net/~pschaaf/circuts.sit.bin")here(/url) to download it.

I looked at it with MASCOT, but it crashes my computer. Force Restart kind of crash.

Kingdom 7: Lava
Plummit Summit by AVN Status: "Polishing"
------------------ Your pet poodle is flying loop-de-loops over my microchips! The poodle is coming! The poodle is coming! (Don't ask )
I'm making a kingdom that doesn't really fit in with any of the categories, I'm working on two levels right now. Level 1: Delusions of Mediocrity It may seem like a bug, but it's not Level 2: Storage Vault Uses a lot of boxes.

Maybe we should merge Sand and Ocean to Island. Then we could make the Misc/Weird Kingdom.

Hehe. I was planning something like that.
Don't merge the kingdoms, nobody said what textures the ninth kingdom would be using, now did they? Heh heh heh... Insanity at it's finest...

Oh. I thoght it was going to be purple. This will be more fun, though. I guess we'll do both.
I was thinking that the levels would go something like this:
Level 1 (not in a kingdom): Ferazel must escape from a mandrikia prison Level 2 (not in a kingdom): Ferazel returns home, to find it in ruins, relizes he most destroy Xichra once more
In the next levels Ferazel would travel through the various kingdoms They would be:
Cave Kingdom (Kingdom 1): aschaaf_86
Sand Kingdom (Kingdom 4): ferazel_09
Island Kingdom (Kingdom 5): Emperor Ent
Ice Kingdom (Kingdom 6):
Lava Kingdom (Kingdom 7): AVN
Weird Kingdom (Kingdom 8): Bob the Mediocre
Personaly, I think all the levels should be new. BTW- By a bug do you mean a level where the tiles are all mixed up, ie. floors give way? I was thinking of that too, great minds really do think alike.
Also, once we settle who makes which kingdoms, I think we should post our idividual plot ideas and try to mesh them togheter as best as possible. We arlready have a big storyline, but the smaller ones should kind of fit togther with no big conflicts.
************* WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD*************
The rest of this long topic will probably be spoilers.
All those who wish to be surprised when this world is released, READ NO FURTHER!
Thank you.
I believe that since Xichra is a habnabit, she should have come from the Habnabit Caves.
My kingdom (lava)'s smaller story should be how the lava caves used to be full of habnabits but then Xichra sealed them off and flooded them with lava. This would cause the pleasant habnabits to become evil monsters. The lava kingdom's ruler should be trapped by the evil Fire Demons who imprisoned him and you must battle them (Statue Heads) to find him. He will then thank you and give you some stuff. I hearby declare that my kingdom gives ferazel the fire charm. Nobody else can have it. it is mine all mine! ha ha ha! It only make sense that the fire kingdom has the fire charm. Just like I think (whoever owns this kingdom can disagree) that Ice should give him the Ice Wall Spell.
To get into my levels, you'll have to talk to Emperor Ent. We could have a sequence on how the kingdoms would go.
Am I correct in thinking this is the large overall plot.
Our Story So Far: When Ferazel returns home he realizes it is up to him to rebuild his once great people. He leads a mining party to search for the essential ziridum. Well traveling the party is attacked, Ferazel is the only survivior, but his is taken prisoner by the evil creatures. While imprisioned he learns that those who attacked him are the Mandrikai, who have rallied under the Dread Queen Xichra. Ferazel hears that he is too be sent to the Ninth Kingdom, the new lair of Xichra. There she intends to deal with him personally.
Actual Gameplay: Ferazel barely escapes from the Mandrikai prision and returns home. He finds a desolete land and learns the Habnabits have been forced to flee. Realizing what he must do, Ferazel sets off to battle his way through the Eight Kingdoms in hope of reaching the Ninth Kingdom and destroying Queen Xichra once and for all.
Other Information: Each of the Eight Kingdoms has been invaded by Xichra. Most are deadly enemies of her trying their hardest to keep their people free. Others have made secret packs with Xichra, and allowed her to plant troops in their land. As Ferazel travels through the Eight Kingdoms he will meet many great leaders and many vile traitors. Some will aid him by bestowing him gifts from their people. Others will try to set him back or even destroy him.
Ferazel learns towards the end of the game that the Queen Xichra is not the same one he destroyed. The New Queen is also a Habnabit, one who was shunned and scorned by her people because of her horrible features. Seeking revenge, she adopted the mantle of the Dread Queen, hoping to spread the orginal Queen's evil ideas, and destroy her people the Habnabits.
Are we agreed this shall be the final main plot?
Should we call this game: Ferazel's Wand: The Ninth Kingdom or Ferazel's Wand: The Return of Xichra or Something Completely Different
I don't think we should begin work on the levels until we decide on a major plot. I also suggest that we submit our sub-plots to the board before we begin the levels. Otherwise, we may have major plot conflicts.
Also, I think we should post the spellings of various names and characters, so we all spell the same. Spelling is not one of my skillz
I agree there should be a sequence.
