Hi, I played "strict", and I got killed, I play 1.0.2, so I can´t force quit. My pilot file was erased, but I used Northon Utilities to recover it, but for some reasone EVO won´t open it. I delited the EVO prefs, but still I can´t open it. Is there any way to save it? Please help!

Ummm..... Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of playing strict play?

No, cuz I don´t force quit when I´m in the shuttle!!!! This was the only time, but I had 1mill. (started new). There should be a auto-escape pod like in EV, cuz I don´t have time, nor do I remember wich keys to press when I blow up! So could you help me?

There's no need to force quit. (Why use force when guile will do? :)) Anytime you die, & you regret it, even in strict play, just press the "Esc" key. Click "Open Pilot," choose "Last Pilot," "Enter Ship."
Voilá -- you're back in your ship, hovering above the last planet you docked at. It's kinda like an autosave feature. However, Shadow, it's probably too late for you. Sorry. :frown:

Or, occasionally, quit the game, open your pilot file, select your pilot & hit command D to make a duplicate. Go back into the game select you pliot and play. If you die, you can start over from the duplicate (which you can rename). Jude
Yes, I understand, but how does EVO know that my pilot file was deleted, cuz I recoverd it 100% with Northon Utilities? There must be a way to save it, since the pilot file is fine, but the problem is that EVO won´t open it. It must be saved some where that the pilot file has been trashed, cuz otherwise it would open it. Please help!
Geez, I kinda sympathize, but y'know what? Pilots are expendable! Sure, it takes a lot of time & effort to get one to a level you can be proud of -- but it's a game, right? So like the man said, "Play it again!"
Yes, I did just that. I got more money and a better ship than on my old pilot file. I now make regular duplicates! I still play strict, and don´t use force-quit (I got the duplicate). Thanks for helping me.
Maybe before it deletes it, it sets a bit in it that says "this pilot has been killed."
