Jusy wondering...does EV Nova take place before EV? I go to Spica, and it's uninhabited...in EV Classic, it's inhabited...in Nova, it says "you wonder how long it will be before the Federation strip-mines this place." In Classic, Spica is in the process of being mined...this is kinda wierd...and besides that, some planets aren't inhabited, some are too hostile to land on, and some are missing altogether (from Classic). I miss Levo. And Bernard. And the old Vega System. and Pirate's Cove. How did Spica get all the way down there? What's up with this?

I don't think it's supposed be related in any way, because the date in Nova is like way after either ev or evo.

He's asking if Nova takes place after EVC. If he'd asked if EVC took place before Nova, then it would be a legitimate question

If you want to get technical, if you read his post carefully, you'll note that it mentions EVC stuff more than EVN stuff.

Go to the EVN Addon Files. There, download the Nova Preambles. A fascinating read into the historical background of Nova.
Remember one thing, though...star systems DO move. It's one reason (I think) that totally different maps can be considered to be in the same universe.
Nova is later...much later.

Not only is Nova later, it also exists in a different possible future. EVO also has it's own possible future.
So, in short, same universe, different times, different scenarios.
