Probably the same way I found the forum forge moderates some weeks ago. I've actually bumped noses with all of those at various times, in various ways, before now, except forum 0.

Not necessarily...

I'd love to play some of you guys sometime - perhaps tomorrow? (Well, today in EST actually) I did get on and play one game the other day, so I definitely do still have my account. I'll have to add you guys to my friend list, so I can keep an eye out for you.

Orginally posted by ares1 (About Starcraft): Buy in stores as a last resort
Well, I wish I even had a store to buy from. The nearest place I could physically touch a piece of mac software is 70 miles away. Also, do you need a credit card for ebay or ubid or whatever. Can you just do a check and mail it to the person? My father is quite reluctant to use his card online and even though he knows its generally safe he only does it when he has to (like Christmas). Would Amazon. com have it?
Come visit the (url="http://"http://nova6.pautsch.com/forum/intro.lasso")Nova6 Webboards(/url).
Almost all auctions and stuff online uses Paypal. It is a highly reputable service, and you are perfectly safe to give them your credit card. But if you are very reluctant to do that, you can work out with the seller other means of payment. Paypal is much easier.

All this talk about advanced Starcraft strategy. I've played for a total of half an hour and don't even know what a battlecruiser is. Actually, I think I'll go play it right now...

I thought it had more to do with inductive reasoning than luck, myself.

Probably late afternoon and evening, assuming you're on the East Coast.
Macavenger, that battlecruiser replay was awesome. I have two questions:
You had absolutely no ground defense. You made a million missile turrests, but if they attacked with hydralisks while your fleet was away from base, you were as good as dead. What were you thinking? And why didn't they attack you?
Why did it end so suddenly? No one was eliminated, I don't think.

In shared base maps like this, one player is typically assigned to throw up a defense in the center aisle. In this case, it was my partner who did that. His Lurker group was actually quite effective, and I did support it a little toward the end. We successfully fought off a number of hydra raids that way. They could have attacked later, but by that time we were both running loose in their bases, and they brought their hydras back in a futile attempt to ward off my cruisers. I suspect my cruisers might have been able to return in time to defend if they had attacked anyway, especially since my ally would be producing Zerglings like crazy to try to ward them off. It should have slowed them up enough for the cavalry to get back.
As I mentioned in the description, we all allied at the end, though I can't remember why - my normal policy is not to ally if I'm on the short end of 2v3 odds and win. With all five players allied with allied victory active, the game ends in a win for everyone.
I'm going to get on the net for a while in a few minutes, if anyone wants to look me up.
Mac, why aren't you on bnet?

I notice that you contradict nearly everything I ever say.
I'd like to have an argument, please.
Arugments, yay... Interesting one in B&B; about evolution, but noone seems to care now that Gywdion, Pikeman, Flatty, and Werty left because of Anatole's post.
Anyway, how about one on why some people might prefer PC's? Stupitidy, Ignorance, or a sheltered live?

HEY!!! I use a PC! I'm not saying mac's suck or Bill Gates is my hero, but they actually aren't bad computers.
And Macs are ok, PC's are just better.
/me waits for angry mob of mac-enthusiasts to linch me
Heh... /Me backs Bari into corner. I wasn't really serious, people can like whatever they want. I just happen to think macs kick.
Macs: Pros: Nice-looking Fast More for your money Have the best original ideas Don't take up too much space Inventive/ Innovative User-friendly With emulators and common sense, anything capable on a PC is capable on a Mac High-Tech
Cons: Some are over-priced Games/Software come out first on PCs, second on Macs One-button Mice There might be one or two more, but I don't think so...
PCs: Pros: Lots of people use them- this isn't 100% percent a good thing, just a reason why they're popular Games/Software come out first on PCs, second on Macs Some are cheaper
Cons: Confusing Tech support people are incompetent, sadistic *******s Take up too much space Copy and Rip-Off Macs to no end Slow (not for all) Ugly Give urge to throw them out a window
Overall, Macs have way more Pros than Cons. Vice-versa for PCs.
Therefore, I will remain a Mac lover until 1 Infinite Loop starts making unimaginative, big, gray boxes like everyone else.
I like Macs more, but am forced to use a PC. I think I might leave B & B, but I'm not sure. What do you guys think?
Well put, Luke. Especially the part about ripping of macs to no end. Have you looked at os x next to windows xp? That is some funny stuff. I think that each additional version of windows is nothing more than a few more features ripped off macs, a new name, and incompatibility with all previous and upcoming versions.
Have you read about exactly what happened between MS and Apple way back in the 80s when Bill was writing software for Apple? For his OS he directly copied mac code and started selling it. Only got away with it because Scully let him. If Scully was not so incompetant, Apple would probably have a monopoly.
Cons: Confusing - only if you're a mac user **Tech support people are incompetent, sadistic *****s - You shouldn't need to call them in the first place Take up too much space -Not Really... Copy and Rip-Off Macs to no end - This is true, but they change it just enough to be legal Slow (not for all) - untrue Ugly - So the things you look for in a computer is it's attractivness, not it's performance? Give urge to throw them out a window - I could say the same thing about my mac

Only if you are a normal human.
- You shouldn't need to call them in the first place
But you'll have too, once your computer won't start and none of your software works.
-Not Really...
Have you seen the new iMac? Have you seen the new PCs with huge towers cluttering up the bottome of your desk and a huge, fat screen taking up the top? Do you realize how convenient the Mac is, compared to the PC?
- This is true, but they change it just enough to be legal
So, that makes it OK?
- untrue
For most, not all.
So the things you look for in a computer is it's attractivness, not it's performance?
It goes without saying that my Mac will perform admirably. Its beauty is an added bonus.
**I could say the same thing about my mac **
So could I. But I don't.
