(url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/zeldasite5/starcraftgames.html")http://www.geocities...craftgames.html(/url) has another replay! In my opinion, it's much better than the previous one. Go check it out!
PS: I'm not going to stop bugging you about it until someone gives me feedback!

File sharing is off, yes. I'll ask on Just Games.

Barisax, I watched your last replay for about 2 hours. Then my mom came and turned it off. I have not had the time yet to put it back on, but maybe I will soon. You are pretty good. I am going to have to learn to play as protoss.
Next time I get the chance I will watch your new one. Right now I am playing the single player missions.

Ok, my need for feedback is temporarily satisfied. I still want to hear what you think when you're done with them both, ok?

Since my brain is now quite buned out on Exile, I think I shall go relax by playing through some old replays. Maybe I'll even put a few up for you, since they seem to be in high demand.

Actually, only one of em is, the other two are only about 30 minutes each. It's ok if you're busy though, I can certainly understand that

Ahhh!!! Mac! Have I discovered someone who plays Exile at last? Victory! Please tell me you're talking about the rpg by spidweb software that's awesome. I have Exile II and Exile III registered, and I've played the Avernum remakes as well. Chances are we're not talking about the same thing...

No, you've discovered a Myst fan who's trying to work his way through the threequel. Sorry to burst your balloon.

Well, right now I've mostly been busy playing Exile and, when my brain is too fried for that, working on my own replay page for the enjoyment of everyone else here. Hopefully I'll find time to get to them sometime this week.
Updated the replay page. No new replays yet, but it looks about 1000 times cooler and has notes and such about the game to refer to.
Sorry I havn't posted in a while, and if I have, very little. I have been playing starcraft non-stop against friends from school over bnet and have been trying to finish the single player missions.
Macavenger, do you think you can put that level in your replay, BloodBath, up for download? It looks fun. I suppose I could make it on my own, but I'm lazy.
Oh, and the site is looking great.

Yup, it should be in the standard Starcraft Maps folder. Scroll down to ($)Blood Bath.scm. I wanted to put the little Blizz symbol from battle.net on there, but that's not on the web available for downlaod. IMO, it is possibly the finest map made by Blizzard and also best in use on battle.net. Too bad no one wanted to play it anymore last time I was on. :frown:
In case anyone's wondering, I've started going through my replays and found three more candidates to put up so far.
In the starcraft manual, it says the three races are about equal in power and ability. That seems impossible. I was playing as protoss for the first time, and they are 1000x better than terran. Make enough photon cannons and you base is invincible to everything but seige tanks, which can be dealt with by makes a few dark templars. It is virtually impossible to beat protoss with terran if the protoss knows what he is doing.

Trust me, they really are about equal. Each race has it's own advantages. In a standard (non money map) game, it's difficult to build enough cannons to fend off a Marine/Medic rush. If you can do that, then you probably won't have invested enough time in other things to fend off a Tank group supported by Marine/Medics.
If anyone has the short end of the stick, it's the Zerg. The Zerg counters for a Marine/Medic group require significantly higher tech tree research. I've seen 36 Hydras get mowed down by 12 Marines and 4 Medics before. OTOH, the higher Zerg tech is very difficult for the Terran player to counter.

Does anyone actually play Escape Velocity any more? I can't say that I do...
Does anyone want a list of wierd Ambrosia Webboards not meant to be seen by the public? I found 'em a couple days ago. moki might not want some of them revealed, but they're probably not important. I hope.
I played a non-money map against the computer (with a friend who was just watching) in a non-moneymap and he kept sending huge amounts of tanks and marines, and my photon cannons in large groups could fend them off every time. I know that people are much harder to beat, but it was still ridiculously easy to beat the computer that was terran when I was protoss.
Anyways... Do you have any replays of how to beat the last terran mission, The Hammer Falls?
As for Zerg, to counter marine attacks, they just have to build a lot of sunker colonies. I don't know a lot about zerg, though, but those sunken colonies are hell on marines, and any other ground units for that matter. You best hope is to wipe out the spore colonies with Yamato guns from a battle cruiser and move in from the air.

Certainly. I am constantly testing my sprites and the sort, and therefore get stuck completing a few mission strings in the process. I don't play it nearly as much as I used to, but I probably won't stop for years to come...

Every once in a while I open it back up and start a new pilot file. Then, once I complete the stock EV (usually Rebel) missions, I download and play Pale, Final Battle, Galactic Scourge, and maybe some others. Those three, I think (and most will agree) are the best plug-ins out for EV. New Horizons was alright, but the graphics were very grainy.
EV is a great game, and I doubt I will stop playing it for a long time. Recently I have not been playing at all, basically I am saving it for EV Nova. That, and I have been spending hours on end playing starcraft.
In the single player Starcraft, I've beaten everything except the last two protoss missions (my mom erased it). I also have Brood War but I haven't installed it. Are the missions in Brood War fun?
