So resedit is the only way to go? :frown: Alright. It will take me... a while to get the planets and stations finished with. Hey Skyblade, do you know some good shipyards for alien-like stations and/or planets? I don't need anything special, and I know those can be found easily. I will wait for you to do outfits and ships, though.

Yeap, ResEdit is your best choice for spobs (unless you want to use EV Developer's Map). In truth, ResEdit is the program for any EV / EVO-related program, since you will be far less likely to encounter bugs during alpha and beta testing.
About alien-like stations, I can't think of any at the moment. I know there are plenty of human-like spob graphics, but none that seem to fit the category "alien."
Evula has a few spobs, but they are mainly planets.

Hrmm... I'm having some problems. First off, Resedit keeps giving me this "Unknown Field Type Found" error when I try to close a govt resources and it puts the curon in the UNUSED place. I tried putting nothing there, I tired putting 0 there, and I tried putting -1 there, but it keeps telling me this. I'm not doing anything different from other govts that close fine. What's going on?
I just went ahead and closed without saving. It wouldn't let me close resedit, so I lost a bunch of stuff.
I need someone to help me make planets. I need to do a lot of stuff, so I need someone to help with the spobs. Is anyone available? I don't need anything special, just someone who can use ResEdit to make some general planets with simple descs in certain systems.

Diddlysquat is very good with ResEdit. If you could get a hold of him, I'm sure he could help you out with the spobs (he was my primary programmer for my old "Dreden War" plugin. He did an excellent job with spobs...).
As for why ResEdit is pulling this little game, I have no idea. I've never had a problem with that before...

Hmm, that's strange. Hope you can get the problem(s) fixed...
Yeap, Dreden War was in development for about four months before it was called off. My development team and I ran into plenty of problems with the Override engine, so I left everyone with waiting for Nova to come out so we'd have an engine that would support our plugin. We never finished it, but we got pretty far along...

Well, I've been able to use EV Developer's Map to make a few hundred system for Override, so I would believe that EVO Developer's Map would work with Escape Velocity. Might want some verification before trying that, however...

Definitely a better and more original choice than Varx. Have you ever noticed the trend towards hostile aliens and surrounding names starting with a V, especially in the EV world? Think about it:

Hey, where can I get the EVO dev map? Its not in the utilties section of the EV or EVO addons pages.
