Not at all... yes. Guess I'll just have to go back and read BFS 1 so I can understand how all you people fight. (Even if Macavenger is the President of my government)

I'm not aware of any specific rules preventing you from venturing to Sentarus, but you probably wouldn't want to go there anyway, unless you're spl_cadet. Most other people should realize that doing so would be suicide for a pirate fleet. The continued existence of both can be explained easily. There's only a few months between the end of II and start of III, and it's easy to suppose that it took the HC a fair amount of that time to finish kicking out the Aliens. However, with the Aliens retreating, the pirates would probably get kicked around a bit, and I think they'll likely only have 1 or 2 sections of the galaxy in their control.

Perhaps you forgot that I asked you to leave Battle for Sol II because of your unrealistic and rule-breaking posts. Ironically however, I think you left for vacation before you read my post.

If you wish to participate in episode III, I'm expecting to see a change in your topic posts. Just keep them in line with the rules, and you're in good shape.

Alright. I promise not to make up any special tactics that somehow make my ships invincible while making enemy ships armor and shields tissue paper. That good enough? Am I in now? Also on a sidenote; is the buster cannon for the pirates operational for BFSIII? It rather evened out the odds against capital warships and Rak agreed to its limitations.

Agreed. Just remember that I'm expecting not only you, but everyone to stick to the rules. No exceptions. Sorry if I'm sounding a bit strict, but keeping a webstory in order is very important.

Buster cannon sounds good to me. A bit powerful, but the limitations made it realistic. Sure, you can use it for episode III.

Have you posted your info yet? If you have, go ahead and post it again. I'm guessing you'll be a pirate?

BTW, when the webstory starts can we have a topic where we post our battle strategies? It will make it less confusing to try and decide yourself what strategy they will use.

You're info looks good, thanks.

A topic for strategies probably wouldn't be a good idea. While it might stop a few problems, it would have many downsides. For instance, the defending player would already know the attacking strategy of the enemy. Therefore, it wouldn't be a surprise attack anymore.

Well, it is suicidely stupid for your opponent to know what your going to attack him with... As well, strategies are dependant on the content of the battle, not vice versa.

Precisely. If the president (or commander) of a government wants to execute or plan battles without the enemy knowing, he should probably do so via e-mail.

Well now, Levo was unorganized from the start (as you very well know). 😉

I was not merely being a wise-guy. I do want to understand this. Mac? Skyblade?

• As a pirate I cannot get to the other (Sentarus) map -- and this is because --

I must say, and this has absolutely no purpose except maybe to boost ego, that Kaptain Karl has so far never ceased to amuse me with any of his posts. My hat is off to you sir!

Kap'n Karl- Where did you hear that you couldn't go to the Sentarus Galaxy? You have to start the game in the Milky Way, but you are more than welcome to make way for Sentarus, that is, if you dare to. 😉

Well, I did use a bit more sesquipedalian syntax than perhaps I needed to there... 😉 😛

OK. All pirates will start in the Milky Way. This is only a few months after the end of BFS II, so they haven't really had time to get through yet. We aren't saying that you can't go to the Sentarus galaxy, just that you don't start there. At least, I'm pretty sure we aren't. However, there really wouldn't be a lot of point in going through a gate anyway. First, why? Second, you'd probably get mauled by whoever was at the gate right away anyay. Coming through like you would have to right under the guns of an enemy fleet undermines the standard pirate speed advantage. But if you really want to, we won't stop you from venturing to the other galaxy if you want.

Also, from the "Pirates are too stupid to use this jumpgate when they can others" remark, I think you're misunderstanding here. The gate to Sentarus is not just an ordinary hyperlink like you use to fly around the Milky Way. It's more like a hypergate from Nova, a station that can send you to another galaxy.

Okay, thanks for the clarification. I did not understand we merely had to begin in the Milky Way. I got the idea we were somehow banned from Sentarus. Now I get it.

There's only the one jumpgate from Kaujathin, at least at the start, I'm pretty sure. can't find my copy of the map right now to double check... I've been trying to convince Skyblade taht the one on the Alien side should be named Kaujathat, in accordance with what i had originally intended when I named the one in the Milky Way Kaujathin, but I'm not sure if he's listened yet.

I went and checked on the map on the first page, (your not that lazy are you Macavenger 😉 ) and I counted 4 Jumpgates, 1 on the west side of the galaxy and three on the north east, none in Dreden Space.
