Skyblade, I hope my "borrowing" your Jonathan Navarone character was alright. I could not Zap! into a story without "learning my characters' motivation." It was late at night -- actually the wee hours of the morning -- when I figured it out. By the time I finished, I "submitted" without considering what you would think about me creating some story for one of your characters.
I believe I left room for my Karl Wilk character to have completely misunderstood Navarone too. (One of the challenges of simultaneously writing a story with eight other writers is allowing some flexibility in the story line.) We'll see....

I don't mind you using characters, but I totally disagree about everything you said of Jonathan Navarone. He was an extrememly patriotic Rebel fleet commander, elected by the citizens of the Rebellion to be their president. He was not power-hungry whatsoever, but one who wanted to get rid of the power-hungry Confederation rulers. Jonathan Navarone was someone who truelly wanted to perform the will of the people, and corruption is something he knew nothing of. Since Navarone served two terms in office, I ran for president since law did not permit Navarone to run for president again. I selected Navarone as my vice president, so again, Navarone is not power-hungry or corrupt. He remains a highly-respected political figure of the Human Confederation, because that's where the people want him to be.

You know, I was thinking we should allow ship purchases pretty much whenver, but only add money for it at certain times. I don't think that would add too much complexity, in general, it won't require mpa updates, so...

They should be in Clueless's mailbox by now.
Alos, I've uploaded a map update, along with a HC shipyard update. The new HC ship is a replacement for the Battlecruiser. Battlecruisers still in service a still battlecruisers for now, right? Huh? I don't speak Ebonic. Please rephrase your question.

Disagreement keeps the battles -- and the story -- going. If the pirates shared your view of Navarone, it would remove some of the natural tension, no?
what is your instant messanger screen name.

Oh. You asked me that a few days ago and I sent you an e-mail saying I don't do IM. (I like e-mail cuz I can comm with people when I want to.)
Hey Skyblade, one more thought from that email... How are we aliens supposed to return to a planet to pick up more troops? We aren't allowed to go off the map again, remember.
Originally posted by Captain Skyblade: Do you mean allow the aliens to change their "current" location? Certainly. Giving you first attack advantage basically means you can select any location you want.
Um, no. I was thinking that players who are members could, if they would like to, change their location to wherever they are in the story. I haven't shown up yet, so I'm whereabouts unknown. Sattomax is at a system he calls Alta, which is off the map. You could set yours to something like :The Manos system," or similar. I did it mostly for fun, for variety from my old location, then realized it could also be helpful to those who have problems with the map.

If you are are going back for troops and your fleet has been discovered, then your going back to alien space will give away the location of where you're getting troops from.

Alright then. We'll just say your view on Jonathan Navarone is a typical "pirate lie."

Skyblade - UE Crusader means the NGC-9758 system, the pirate system in the Trugati asteroid belt. He must be too used to EVO naming conventions. If you reread grunadulater's post, SGS-whatever-it-was was his name for the new system he warped to, Unexplored AABD, I believe. I admit the lack of capitalization and spacing can make it tough occasioanlly.
AH! I've had it...This exploring stuff is getting too confusing for me...Let's say that no more exploring can be done in the game, therfore, the alien worlds cannot be taken, much less discovered. I'll try to continue to update the fleet locations, but I just can't find the time to continually update explored systems.
Therefore, since the Human Confederation can't capture alien planets, their goal is to either simply drive out all alien fleets once the great offensive begins, or destroy all alien fleets. Alien fleets are also permitted to dissapear off the map, even after they've been discovered once. They can then jump back in at any given time, wherever they want.
Atleast I will have learned plenty before episode III begins.

Let's say they can jump back in the area of whatever system they left the map from - it would seem unlikely for a fleet to leave the map and two posts after appear on the opposite side of the galaxy Whoops, just realizing this goes against my own people
how about you show the entire map that would have been dicovered.the pitates have barley anything.

I can try to update the map with both alien and pirate worlds (in other words, everything is discovered, so there could be alien worlds the HC could conquer), but you'll have to give me some time. I'll try posting a new map of your description. Thanks.
Skyblade, I need to inject some sanity here... Sattomax's concerns about human fleet prices are quite valid. The Carrier, in particular, is way underpriced. That thing is worth a minimum of 75 million, probably more like 100 million. You need to either jack up the price on that and some other human ships, or drop everything else. And don't tell me the Alien battlecruiser is worth as much because of it's fighters, because it doesn't come with any. BAsed on jus the default weapons, the Carrier has thousands of Turbolasers, torpedoes, and Missiles. Compare that to my 4 Fusion Particle Turrets and 250 Seekers. Plus, the Carrier has far better shields and armor. Alien weapons aren't that much better. If anything, my Battlecruiser is overpriced, and your carrier is most definitely underpriced. Work on that some.
Don't do the map just yet. I have a VERY interesting way to protect Alta, and I have to leave the system to explain it. I'll do that very soon.
------------------ Apparently, my X-Rapiers are kicking HC warship @$$ right about now.
Um, Skyblade? You just bought ships a page early. We said every third page, so that would be page one, then page 4. You bought on page 3. It's not time yet, so I think you should edit that out.
