Use stamp control to put your picture wherever you want it to be. This can be set to map co-ordinates or an offset of player co-ordinates. You can link it to a timer, have it be a static animation which runs for a certain amount of time, or use another stamp control to remove it. It is also possible to have your picture be an NPC in which case you can "kill" it, or allow it to follow you or "run away."
I'm sorry I don't have any experience with movies but someone else will come along and field that one for you.

Making a movie is a lot easier if you have either a 3D drawing App which can render movies or a 2D animation app such as Flash. QT and iMovie are just for putting different clips together along with audio. You need to actually make the clips first and the only other way besides using an app that can make animations is to draw each frame seperately and then copy and paste into either QT or iMovie. I strongly suggest you download a trial of Flash or look for a Free 3D app that can render movies (I don't know of any but I'm sure somebody will)

Use a dialog action, select a picture and dont write anything that will come up in the dialog. Simple...
------------------ Life is a joke - death is testing your humour...
Ledorax is right about the picture. In an event, click on "dialogue." When the dialogue window comes up, you see on your left a place that links to events/pics and on the right a place to write your dialogue. Write nothing on the right, but choose whatever picture you placed in the events/pics file.
I use this a lot. I make an NPC with 0 stamina, like a sign of a town, that doesn't move. The Player hits it (makes contact) and a large picture of the sign pops up so that the Player can read the name of the town. The Player then clicks on the picture to "close" it.
You can actually have both the picture and dialogue window come up at the same time. Just select your picture AND write in the dialogue space. The picture shows above the dialogue interface.

Or if you decide to film a movie on your video camera, you can edit it in iMovie (I know that this hasn't been done, but maybe somebody will do it).
------------------ Motion is impossible: If an archer fired an arrow at a target, it would have to travel halfway before reaching the target. To reach that distance, the arrow would first need to travel halfway. To reach that distance, the arrow would first need to travel halfway. To reach that distance, the arrow would first need to travel halfway. To reach that distance, the arrow would first need to travel halfway. To reach that distance, the arrow would first need to travel halfway...

Honestly, I had to do this for a school Video Short Story Concept. I did the begining of my movie roughly and planned it out in iMovie, and then had to bring it to school and do it for real in Final Cut Pro. A new class I am involved with now is doing just this, I am finding out now. We have to film some things, and then edit them in iMovie, Whoppeee.......great.
