When I use get info on my games the version says it was made by beenox with the coldstone game engine. I know you can change this with resedit but I want to know if it has to say that or can I change it completly

no it doesn't have to say that. the games are royalty free.
Royalty 7. A share of the product or profit (as of a mine, forest, etc.), reserved by the owner for permitting another to use the property.
8. Hence (Com.), a duty paid by a manufacturer to the owner of a patent or a copyright at a certain rate for each article manufactured; or, a percentage paid to the owner of an article by one who hires the use of it. Source: Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary, Å 1996, 1998 MICRA, Inc.
they're just hoping that you don't know how to fix it so that they get free press and publicity.

Download (url="http://"http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/Utilities/ResEdit_2.1.3.sea.bin")ResEdit(/url) from Apple. (Note, very old application - but it runs just fine in OS 8, 9, and Classic.)
You will probably want to increase ResEdit's memory allocation via Get Info in the Finder. The default values are a little small these days. I find that 5 MB is about right.
Launch ResEdit and use it to open your compiled game.
Open the "vers" resource type, then open resource id 1.
Edit the information there.
Save changes and quit.
Note - ResEdit is somewhat crash-prone, and it has a nasty tendency to corrupt the file it was editing when it crashes. Since you can simply recompile your game if this happens, it's not as big a concern, but generally speaking, always make a backup of whatever file you're editing.
