Hello, I was wondering if anyone has the fix for the unregersered version of Coldstone bug(bug where the Unegestered Version of Coldstone message would show up for regestered users)? I had to reformat my hardrive so I no longer have it.

Well, for starters, (i'm assuming that you have purchased coldstone) the license file is stored as an accessory preference file on your hard disk under "Coldstone License" or "Avara License" or whatever. Try deleting that license file and re-entering your code to fix it. Or do you mean when you build a release version of your game game and run it a message pops up. If so, there is a version availible that addresses that bug.

It's when you build a release version. I use to have the fix but I no longer have that fix. I have emailed David Dumham to send me the fix but I have goten no reply.
What?! This was fixed? Why did no one tell me? I need this too, so anyone who has it, please come foward.

The fix works fine in Classic OS.
Who knows? Perhaps Mr. Dunham is on summer vacation.

The fix was not included in the 1.01 update, it was a different patch. Why it was not just placed in the Coldstone addons section is beyond me.
That's right, it was later than 1.01. If I were Ambrosia, I'd make sure that the person had bought the Coldstone product before sending this particular fix. So I wouldn't post this particular fix on the board. Mr. Dunham posted on the board to anyone having the "unregistered" problem to e-mail him.

Search the webboard. There is a description that involves deleting various files both in X and classic (if u use only one of them just erase on one platform) and then reinstalling from the CD and reregistering it.
They have a nice register tactic by the way: when you re-register you have to get a new serial from the ambrosia servers (which is done automatically 4u). So spreading the serial will not work for this program: ambrosia will notice when many people register using the same serial. I think its clever.
I have this problem too. I believe I posted something about it a long time ago, without ever receiving any real answer. I really would have liked to know when the problem was fixed!
