I just wanted you all to know that while I really, really try to be "nice" and to try to help in positive ways on this board, there are times when I really really WANT to call a person an idiot. A moron. An immature child. Refraining on the internet is pretty difficult sometimes. I just had to show a bit of the other side of who I am. Thought a few of you might be interested to know.
There's more than one "dark side" to people. And that leads me to think about the bad guy's traits in my game.....
(Got the game in there pretty slick, huh?)
Talk about game, man, mine is taking me forever! I have WAY too many maps to build!! But they're necessary. I just told my dad (yes, even an old person often has a parent, who's older of course -- and one never lets him forget that piece of news) that doing this will probably take me another year. Doing the events will be the fun stuff. But, dang! This is work sometimes!!!!!
Okay, whining's over. Back to work!!!

You bet it is! And most of the persons who play your game will not have a clue as to how much effort went into a simple effect which lasts a couple of seconds on the screen. I've only done a plugin, not a full game, but it took nearly seven months to complete. Then some guy posts, "It took me only two days to play it. When are you gonna do another?"
The drudgery for me was clearing large areas of blocked access tile by tile and creating animations which pass by so quickly when playing the game.
Yes, we all have our dark sides and sometimes all it takes to show them is having someone "hook" us with a seemingly innocent remark. I admire your positive attitude and your usual niceness. Since I'm probably about the age of your dad, I've mellowed a bit. All this really means is that it takes more effort to fight back than it does to accept what happens. I look forward to your future "nice" responses. ~RD

I like hanging in the Coldstone only area, so far I find it's the only place on the net I can stand without flipping my lid.
Indeed on my way to work my eyes are burning from working on the game last night, and my ears will probably be also from a few personal reviews on IMG when the time comes. But, will it have all been worth it.....
OMG...... I used a coma, apostrophe and capitals..... I must be tired!

RD, you do realize you can make a big circle around the blocked area, then use the paint bucket? It saves a lot of time hard work, as opposed to doing it tile by tile.

Not on a PoG map which is being altered for a plugin. That would be fine if it is a new map, those I had no problem with. There were over 12,500 tiles in the PoG maps I wanted to change access on. :frown: ~RD
Edit: and every tile is a change map cell in the event list for the load call.
