Me and a friend(God2.0) have a problem when fighting each other and against the computer. During heavy water battles(maybe some overlapping ships) in the lowest speed setting, the game clogs up. It's nearly impossible for us to give commands, and everything feels like syrup. Even moving the camera is REALLY tedious. When we speed up, the game is working like normal again. We have tried to disable the water, but it did not help much.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is this known to happen? Is there a fix? Could it be considered a bug?

Yes, it's known to happen (I lost all my three non-AI players to this today) and it should be fixed in 1.4.1.

Yay, I was almost about to report this bug myself, though it only happened to me once or twice. Very troublesome.
Heh, yeah, it was reported both by the testers and by people on IV's forums.
