pop-pop 1.0.2 broken...

I downloaded 1.0.2 and it has a bug: I can't bring up the Controls... setting dialog. It won't open either from the prefrences screen or from the menu command.

I tried removing my old control settings file to see if it was a version thing, but no, it still won't open that dialog.

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm running OS 10.2 w/latest upgrades.

I'm having the same problem here. Can't give you any recommendations at the moment but rest assured that I've already sent an email to the right place to get the right minds working on it.

Same problem here, and tried the same solutions. Glad it's not just my setup. Anyway, they also didn't do the one thing I really wanted - letting it run in Millions of colours! If I'm doing anything else in the background and switching between apps, it makes all the antialiasing look less nice when running in thousands - why can't it do millions?

The wrong "support" folder was uploaded with the archive. Both the full and update versions on our website have been fixed, and we are waiting for the changes to propogate to our mirrors (this may take a few days with the holiday).

Users affected by this bug should download the (url="http://"ftp://ftp.ambrosiasw.com/pub/pop-pop/essentials/pop-pop_update.sit")pop-pop 1.0.2 update(/url) from our website, and install (or reinstall) it over the buggy version.

Ahh yes, that's much better :). Now the changes that were boasted actually appear, i.e. 2-player on os x! It says built-in trackpad: 2 buttons - wishful thinking.. but clear, it works.

Is there any way to listen to my own music while playing pop-pop without the game's sounds? I don't like to listen to the game's sounds and music while playing, but listening to iTunes would be cool.

😕

I am having the same problem.

Open iTunes.
Hit Play.
Open pop-pop.
Turn off the music in pop-pop in the options menu.
Play pop-pop with iTunes background music.

Works for me. :-

Whenever I do that I get sounds from the game. If I turn the sound off completely it turns off my music. I'll try again. Maybe it will work this time.

No, that is what happens. You can't have just iTunes music in the background as the pop-pop sounds operate on the same volume - there is no option to bypass the system default as in, e.g. Deimos Rising.

This being the case, the only way that I could see to do it would be to somehow turn a track into an MADK format and replace one of the pop-pop tracks..... Hang on I've just had a thought, and it worked.

All you have to do is take all the pop-pop music tracks out of the songs folder - I've just put them in a folder on the desktop, and then turn the pop-pop volume to all music, no sound. Well that was easy.. personally I don't mind the pop-pop sounds but this should help you if you do :).

Well, I hear sound effects as loud as the music, but... so? It's not that big a deal, is it?
