I've actually met some, and they seemed to be a perfectly harmless bunch... a little too curious for their own good perhaps, but certainly not dangerous...

Though I think Cthulhu is currently decorating the wall in the minors bar, conveniently patching up a hole.

My Salril comment was more aimed towards their hardware; in relation to Obish hardware, it's trash. See for yourself, download the "Obain" plug. I don't know, I was just bored so I decided to make some junk up, but it turned out to be a little pointless & stupid. Whatever.

I wasn't meaning that Obain was stupid, just my babble about cloaking devices. No, I enjoy playing the game through as other races, seeing what their ships can do. I love the Obish ships because they are so manueverable, incredibly fast and have killer weapons. I am making a plug in now that will use their ships. I am trying to make it so that even though your ships are superior in ever possible way, the numerical value and sheer force of the enemy makes victory very difficult. I have five alpha scenarios and one that's ready for beta, but I want to make more along the lines of 20-25. I am also having trouble putting all the scenarios in order - I make them when I think of them and they're out of sequence. I think my release may be this summer, I have too much school stuff going on.

Actually, Obain is pretty stupid. They only have all of their great tech because, when the Gaitori were the top race, they went to war, and the Salrillians and Ishiman gave them their good tech. (The Obish used to have worse tech than the gaitori.)
But I do understand your comment about Sals having worse ships. It is true, as the Sals do have worse tech.
I like those plug-ins that change the race you use but they get kind of boring...
I just borrowed Viper's ships to use in the plug, seeing as how good his graphics are. So the ships may make the game itself too easy. I like the race-change plugs because you can use them to make other plugs - the one I'm making now is just Obain stripped of all its scenarios and new ones added - and because I can't do online gaming, so it is the only way I get to fly other race's ships.

Dude, at least you have time for gaming. With all the stuff I have for college, I'm lucky I can fit in a half hour or so of good reading to unwind in the evenings.

Would you believe the luck I'm having? Three (3!) new girls that I have met since this new semester started and all of them very nice people. Fun to talk to, similar tastes in music, books, entertainment, etc. Almost instant friends to each one respectivly.
And every last one of them has a boyfriend back in Washington state/California/ Nome for crissakes. It's enough to make me want to tear my hear out in frustration. If I could stomach alcohol I'd get good and drunk. Three beautiful girls, and not a single one of them available. What's it take, huh? Don't women come without preexisting relationships?
