Fast? I concur. If only I could fly one of those... But I still like the Ishimian HVD.
Personally, I hate the salrilian HVD, I think it's the second worst in the game, after Cantharan. The human one is really awsome though, it looks great and is a blast to fly. Same for human gunships; it's wicked to take down a whole load of cantharan cruisers and gunships with only one of your own.

Ishiman Heavy Cruiser! Have you ever dug into a carrier with one?!? Same tactic as HVD! Your weapons do slightly less than half of an HVDs, and you have only 2/3 shields and 5 missiles, but you can still seriously damage a carrier with one. Also, you're faster, etc. than an HVD, and it doesn't get monotonous flying a Heavy Cruiser.
I've always been partial to the Rebel Cruiser. Those Mantas launch pretty darn fast!

Ish. Heavy Cruisers, Obish Escorts, Elejeetian Cruisers. Any thing fast and minuverable that has enough weponry to take on a Cantharan Carrier. Gota love Ish. HVD's fire power though.

It's obvious that the humans, well, they - KICK err-bottom. The HUMANS are by far the best and ohh, that Gunship. A work of art. I took out that gate ship with just eight of those gunships. THEY ROCK. Course the Destroyer is a serious ship too, but the gunship takes the buscuit.
