Do you know where you got the model though? I'll try doing it.

thats just the problem, Everything you saw in that pict was made from scratch by me. I'll have to just plain make a whole new one. At least the basic shape isn't difficult. My only problem is getting my graphics programs back. Once I have Strata Vision again It will only take a few hours to get back to the point I was at. It took me longer last time because I wasn't sure about everything I was doing. I kept having to pause my work and ask Zaku what he wanted here or there.
------------------ Cmon people, the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=20&SUBMIT;=Go")Chronicles(/url) are worth looking at.
How does that model look or should I get another one?

Better than what I had, that one has clear cockpit windows and an extensive weapons block. Mine didn't have either of those. Could you send me that? DXF or Obj would be best. Once I have Strata Vision back I'll redo the weapons models I had before and add them to the ship along with a new texture.
Could you guys please shrink your picts before posting them? Or render them smaller? It makes it very hard to read, scrolling accross the screen in both directions.
I think zaku is being very demanding for someone who is working so hard. I know I just made a request, but mine makes sense and is reasonable. (I hope)
Zaku: Do you read these posts or are you just doing your own thing? Is english your first laguage? Hablas espańol?

It's at 800x600? I can't shrink much more without sacrificing detail. And the image file size is 62k. Pretty reasonable.

Don't shrink then. (url="http://"http://www.evula.org/artanis/ImageGallery/skyhopper_crop.jpg")Crop(/url).

Aren't most people on monitors sufficient to easily display a 800x600 image though?

Here's a precise answer for you: on my Mac, running IE 5 under OS 9 with screen resolution at 1024 X 768 and the browser window set to maximum width, I can see only 776 pixels of image width if the image is in a quote, which forces an indent. 248 pixels are thus required for window edges, the scroll bar, browser tabs, and the layout of the webboard page. The web page also seems to insist on a 5-pixel margin to the right of the image, so I believe that 771 pixels is the widest image I can handle without needing a horizontal scroll bar.
I could have mis-measured by a few pixels, and other browsers might hog a bit more space; I'd say 750 pixels is likely a safe maximum width if you want to avoid forcing people to scroll left to right in order to read posts.
(Edited because I did not at first realize I'd measured a quoted image) ------------------ (url="http://"http://home.comcast.net/~drtrowel/")Dr. Trowel's E.S.W.P.(/url) -- Featuring Cold Fusion graphics for EVN Override and two EVN:O bug fixes. On my imac I must scroll to see everything. On my emac everything is fine. Most poeple do not have emacs. Also, you have a whole lot of blank space that can be cropped, as was mentioned earlier, or you could render smaller and not worry about detail since the final rendering is about 32x32 anyway.
Now I must see why my cat is scratching on the window.
I'll do future renders at 600x450 if I post them for the convenience of others.
i am very thankful for all the help tho make thgings clear the place under the tall thing sould be one long cannon the plazma cannon and on the wings not under on top im wondering what i shpould put their and i think it should be under the wing/s and it would look like the multi torpideo tubes that is all so far and if any one hjas any ideas PLEASE tell me!

He seems very protective/demanding of something he is not doing. zhouj does all the work and zaku is asking for ideas... Somehow that doesn't sit well with me.

I'm not doing all the work. Captain Philips did most of it before. Now if someone could please post me a 'translated' list of Zaku's requests so I can figure out what the hell he's saying without spending a hour or two deciphering it.

I think I got that right. I have a really awsome plazma cannon for you Zaku, You will like it. For the guns unde the wings I suggest bio relay lasers. I'll have to figure out a way to model those.

In Nova, there is no definite picture of the bio-relay. It just sorta comes out of the front of the Manta and out of the front of the Dragon. Since they're organic ships, just make an organic looking blob (but not a sphere, but sorta bumpy...) and then just to emphasize the fact that it's a weapon, add a small aperature to the front with inward pointing claws or something. Well, that's my suggestion at least.
Oh yea, when it comes down to making the resources for the ship and the weapons, more than likely you'll have to make the plazma cannon into a sprite based weapon (like the blaster or the railgun) so that the weapon exit points work properly. If you make the plazma cannon a beam weapon, then it will cycle through all of the beam exit points, including those of the bio-relay lasers, which will look weird. Unfortunately, there's no way to assign specific exit points to specific weapons. If there were a single engine change that I could make, that would be it.

maybe T-heads, maybe I can design a brand new weapon like I did with the plazma cannon.
okay i want the cannon to comer oyut of the front and it should still looki like a beam like we planed

Right, a beam cannon.
