Hey guys (and girls). I've been building a plug for nova for sometime now and didn't have much of a problem until now. I created a system in the southeast region of the galaxy (by Kontik) complete with a planet, station, hypergate and wormhole. Now, I have the hypergate set to link to the Tekel, Dani, and Aurora HG's, and vice versa. What's weird about this is that when I land at my HG, it shows a fourth link to SVeyen! Try to go there and the gate shuts down. I've looked in my spΓΆb resources and can't find the problem. I'll continue looking, but if anyone has any suggestions, let me know, K? Thank you!

The only possibility I can think of is if there is a hypergate in S7eyen (I probably spelled that wrong) that is connected to yours.
I know if you have a hypergate connected to the one you are at, but the yours at isn't connected to it then the hypergate will shut down (if you try to go there). So this is probably your problem.

Nope. Absolutely no hypergate in S7evyn. Checked as thoroughly as I could. Any other ideas?
Try starting a new pilot that hasn't gotten to s7yevn yet, and see what happens.
Do you have a "return to s7yevn" plugin in your plugins folder?

That is the cause that I would bet on - a plug conflict sounds like the only rational explanation here, other than Chrisw357 having a split personality, one of whom makes a plugin centering around Kontik while the other one adds hypergates in S7evyn. Both are about equally likely, I think.

Sorry guys, I already looked at my plugins before posting.... I only have Combined Fixes from SlagBlah (only has mΔsn resources) and a Ship ID's plugin from EVula (only has PICS and Strng resources). However, I did complete a major string, which is probably when the problem started.... but that's not a logical reason why this extra HG route popped up.
Hey, if anyone thinks they can solve the problem by seeing the plug with their own eyes, let me know in this topic thread. I'll send it to you.
Are you using spΓΆb id 514 anywhere? That would be replacing the wormhole in S7yevn and might mess stuff up. If that's not it, feel free to send it to me so I can fix it and post it to the add-ons as my own. Um, I mean, try to fix it and send it back to you.

I think it's something like Ernimtir describes... If I'm wrong, tell me, but don't hypergates and wormholes share resource numbers? If they do, you may have your hypergate designated to the same resource as S7evyn's wormhole, and the game might not like having the same resource in two systems, causing it to shut down.

Wrong. They dont... sorry to be blunt. Also, I have nothing linking the wormhole in S7evyn to my hypergate and vice-versa. My hypergate has its own resource ID that's not being used by any objects already in the game files. Oh, EVula... I'm sorry I confused you; I meant your 3D EVN targets plugin. Hey, Ernimtir... I'm not using spΓΆb 514 anywhere! I'll send you the plugin, and thanx in advance for helping out.

Solution found. Short version: It's a nova enginge bug. Long version: If a wormhole and a hypergate exist in the same system, and both point to specific destinations(default scenario nova wormholes have random exits, not specific ones); then the hypergate will show the wormhole links but not let you use them. So, chrisw357, basically, either set the wormhole links to all -1, get rid of it entirely, or just deal with it. Oh, and I would recomend ditching the wormhole, because if you try to enter it and haven't been to S7veyn yet, the computer will freeze.
