Help! I made a pers resource for myself and I'm trying to get the ship to appear in the system that I made. What should I be looking at or be careful of?

In the system resource put the ID of your ship. Also put your own chance of appearing. I make myself powerful, as once your dead your dead.

Didn't help... any other suggestions? I think I looked at everything.
Make sure that your Pers resource is set to only appear in one specific system. Then, in that system's resource there should be fields(8, I think) just for putting in Pers resource ids, put your Pers id in one of those and make sure to set the corresponding percent chance field(8 of these too) to what you want the chance of your ship appearing to be. If that doesn't work, it should i've done it myself, try looking through the default scenario files to see if you can figure it out by example. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Ernimtir, but I tried all of that... I did fix the problem doing something else, though. I was using RID #643 as a pers resource number, and it seems that the game will not let you use a number higher than 642. I simply substituted my pers # with a "drifting derilect" pers and, voila, it worked. I did this after changing my system resource so that Matt Burch's ship would appear... I gave both of our pers 100% chance of appearing, and only his showed up! I then knew the problem...
Actually, the answer isn't what you think it is.
New pers' won't show up in the game unless you start a new pilot. So if you replace a boring pers that's in a Data file, your pers will work. The reason this is the case is probably for your safety Pers' can do some powahfool shtuff, so if you want a new pers to show up, you have to start a new pilot.
This is how the PTWB plug worked: the guy replaced all those redundant Terrapin pers' with new pers', so they worked with old pilots.

Ohhhhh........ I seeeeeeeeeeeeee! Well, now I know... thanx, Mantaray. This just goes to show all of us that "you may not know how dumb you are until you get a bit smarter!" Or wiser... To all the others, thanks for the advice, too.
