Using a "program" in another game

How can you take a program (ex: EVOrganizer Beta) created for one game (ex: EVO) and use it for another game (ex: EV)?

Thanks!

While I don't know the program in question, if it's designed for EV Override, it's unlikely that it will work with Escape Velocity if the author hasn't specifically planned for such a possibility.

Yes, with the differences between the first two and Nova, it is highly unlikely that a utility designed for either of the former would work well with the latter. Of course, nothing says it wouldn't work, that would just be somewhat unusual.

Well, I dont really know the program, but I assume it is for organising your plug-ins? Given that EVO is essentially just a tweaked version of EV then I dont think there would be any problems with using it for EV. Have you tried just using it for it? It might work. Otherwise, try emailing the creator of the program and see what he says, it could be possible that he has an EV version or could update the program quite simply to make one.

Nope. It's a plug-editing software organizer. Here's the desc.:

This is a utility for EVO plug developers. It is very simple, and what it does is organize all the applications and guides in a single app. The app can open any development program and can automatically open the plug in them (not all applications support this feature, though.) EVOrganizer also supports a help feature (It will be expanded in later releases.) Keep in mind that this is a beta and may have bugs, although it has been tested.

So I don't know if it can or cannot be made to be used with EV or EVN plug-editing software.

Hmm, doesn't sound like it does anything specific to the EV Override file format. It's worth giving it a try if you think this program will be of use to you.
