365 days ago (about five hours one way or the other) I joined the boards as Esponer. One of the first topics I posted in was "Ship Poll for EV Override. Come and Vote!" by Captain Skyblade. Well, to mark my year here, and for the fact that there haven't been any back-to-the-basics ship polls, I thought I'd make this topic.
But of course, we can always complicate things, can't we? : )
So the questions are: what's your favourite ship, and why, what's your favourite escort, and what ship do you fear most?
Oh, yeah, and if you don't say anything nice about my being here a year, I'll castrate the lot of you.

I'd have to say my favorite ship is the crescent warship. It looks so sleek and cool and with some modifications it can take out anything short of an Igazra!
My favorite escort is an Arada. They add quite a bit to my cargo and a few of them really swat away renegades and other baddies.
My most feared ship is the Azdgari warship. So many azdaras swarming on me like hornets and being azdaras there's no way to run away from them yikes :eek:!

'last time, it was the Crescent Warship that one, too. I suppose there won't be much change over a year. <grins> Oh, and a well upgraded CW can take out an Igazra head-on-head. Trust me. (maybe not head on head, try making passes)
I was considering saying the Arada too, but I put Zachit in front, because I like the colour blue a lot. When you have six Igazra escorts, things get just a tad boring.
Oh, and Trader, you'd better edit soon to say something nice, or...well, ever wanted to be neither male nor female? <winks>

My favorite has to be the Zidara Warship, "pocket" indeed. WHen you get the extra 20 weapons space from a Zidagar mission and the plug-in so you can sell the fighter-bay (I don't, I like them) it is a fast, deadly killing machine. Its beams kick ass and are fun to use and it just looks damn fine...
Excorts? Aradas, powerful, fast and a resonable cargo space. Freight Couriors are handy on trade routes, quick money and they can stick up for themselves...
Most feared? Igazra or the Azdgari warship. The former when I am in a Zidara (have to get up close, which with their shields and turrets, is a BAD idea) although Zidaras can lay waste to Azdgari warships with its beams and dispertion missiles. The Azdgari warship is VERY dangerous when you are in something slow e.g. Lazira, CW...
Most laughed at? ALL Voinion ships, they are uuuuugly and the AI can't hit the side of a barn door. Piss...

Favorite: UE Destroyer- fast enough to escape death and strong enough to take out a Frigate with just a few more rockets. Lose the Hunters and go with the rockets and it's unbeatable against Frigates. So what if the V. Cruiser can take it out? 2 Destroyers can handle the job
Escort: Who needs 'em?
Feared: Dreadnought- Do I need to say?

Favourite ship: Azdara - fast, can take down any human or voinian ship with no trouble. Favourite escort: Adzgari warship - it doesn't matter if its fighters die, the come back the next day. Most feared: Zidara - the single nastiest thing that an Azdara can bump into.

The Zidara is my favourite ship, though I dislike the fact that it burn so much fuel, I like beam too much, to scope the universe fast enough.

I fear the Emalgha ships... No!! that was when I was exploring at the beginning with my cargo transporter. Well, I fear a few Azdgari Arada.

Quick, Jamais! Fix your spelling of Esponer's name or he'll castrate you! Seriously though, Esponer, I must say you're an excellent writer. Possibly better than me. And you created RoC, which I get enjoyment out of reading in my frequent hours of boredom. Happy anniversary. I guess no one noticed that I had been here a full year one month ago, but that's probably because I didn't make it public.
Fav. Ship: That's a toughie. Azdaras are fun, but they're definately not the best ships for head-to-head fighting. Azdgari warships are VERY cool, however. CW with better turning, an extra phase turret, an Azdara bay and six of the little buggers. They launch very fast, fly very fast, and hurt very much. With some extra weapons added it can be very dangerous. You could also substitute the Phase turrets with Neutron Turrets and really kill.
Fav. Escort: Six Azdgari Warships, plus your own if you have one, with all six fighters=42 Azdaras. 118 swivel phase cannons. Ouch. Not to mention each Warship packing four turrets. Ouch.
Most feared ship: Disco Bison. The DM gun reaches well beyong the dimensions of most, if not all computer screens used by EVO players, and does very, very severe damage to both shields and armor. I WANT ONE!!!!!

Favorite Ship: Voinian Cruiser and Igazra. Why: Good armor on the Voinian Cruiser for fighting in the crescent. Igazra is killer against UE/Voinians/Human Renegades. They also have lots of turret spaces. Favorite Escort: Igazra. Why? It's practically the only ship I've ever had for an escort.

Fav Fighter: UE fighter. There are far superior fighters out there, but I like the styling of the good ol' UE fighter... Fav Warship: Zidara. It's extra speed makes it far more fun to fly than regular warships. Fav Escorts: Mix of Azdagari Warships and Igadzras Most hated foe when in a fighter: Voinian intercepters. Their rockets are lethal. Most hated foe when in a warship: Voinian crusiers. They just take SOOOO long! *****s.

Favoutite ship: Azgdari Arada, with a speed upgrade and an afterburner, they can outrun Azdara's. Favourite escort: Shuttlecraft, I love watching them attack an Igazra with their one blaze cannon and being blown out of the sky Most hated enemy: space parrots

My favorite ship is my ship. A UE Cruiser worth over 20 mil credits. My favorite escorts are my two Igazras that I captured (tough little buggers!). I aslo have 4 captured UE destroyers as escorts too. I don't fear any ship really because I can go toe-to-toe with around 3 Voinian Cruisers and make it out alive thanks to my Voinian armor and Voinian Cannon things (and Voinian turrents, waaaay better than the blaze cannons). But I have to say that a Voinian Cruiser is quite the formidable foe.
My favorite ship to mess with is Renegade Turncoats, I can melt those things away in seconds, and they hardly register on my sheilds. I secretly yearn for a nice fast Crescent Warship, but I don't think I could get it to the level of destriction my ship is capable of now.
