I'm trying to run EVO using Executor 2 since I got a PC (My 25mgh finaly passed out) and am having some problems. I'm pretty sure there is someone her that can help me =/ the game screen won't refresh, exept when I land, open the map, but then the map/lan graphic sticks on the screen too. Suggestions, except buying a new mac?

Welcome to the boards. I assume this is an emulator(obviously...?), and I don't know as I haven't had any experience with PC emulation. However, I suggest that you look into the compatibility issues with the emulator itself, RAM usage, visual/RAM/system compatibility with your current computer/system specs, et cetera...
Oh, and what to DO? Buy a Mac.

Try looking on the EV board for posts that have to do with emulation. EV and EVO have pretty similar system requirements, so if an emulator can run one, it can probably run the other.

Press Alt-Shift 5 to bring up the options window in Executor, and then set the screen update to animation - I think that's what it's called :).

The first respondent (Lequis MX) in the Executor 2 discussion thread told Seth to get a Macintosh, so I used the name "Henry Kissinger" and wrote a reply wherein I made an analogy between the Apple - Microsoft situation and the Cold War, with Microsoft represented by the "Evil Empire" formerly known as the USSR, and faithfully wrote in the style that the actual Henry Kissinger would have. It was intended to be a parody and I thought it was funny. If you would like to call a truce, I would be happy to oblige. But you will NOT simply dismiss me as "just a pissed off Mindspring user" by ignoring the root cause of what "pissed me off," specifically the sophomoric way that you handled a parody meant in good humor.

You're right, I didn't get on his case, because quite frankly, he was first. I figure a mistake can be made once -- the "mistake" in this case would be to suggest buying a Mac when the person has explicitly said not to suggest that. After that, if people continue to make the same mistake, it's just stupid.
Also, your text on how the person should buy a mac was in caps and followed by multiple !!!s, which is far more annoying than Lequis' simple "Buy a Mac" text.
Should I have left it alone and just said something? Perhaps, but that's in the past now, and I can't undo it.

Excuse me, but I'm finding it QUITE amusing that you're calling me immature for this once incident, when you've spammed this thread several times (as well as another one), impersonating not only me (I'm willing to accept that, as I'm actually involved in it), but also another moderator, typing stuff that would have gotten you banned if you were a registered user.

Yes, I will simply dismiss you as "just a pissed off Mindspring user", because I don't know who the hell you are. You have yet to contact me about this incident, and you haven't contacted Andrew Welch, either, to the best of my knowledge. I'm willing to accept responsibility for the initial edit that caused us to go down this road, but the fact of the matter is still that you have proven yourself more than unreasonable about this, and more immature than you say I am.

What would be the point of emailing you now after I have already told you what the problem is? I've said my piece and it is over as far as I am concerned.
Let me just add this: having a web board wherein lovers of a great game can converse and help each other out is a great thing. I myself have uploaded three plugs, two of which are already available for download on the add-ons page and the third was sent in earlier today. I have learned many things about EVO from this board that I may never have learned otherwise, and I have helped others with technical problems to improve their gaming experience. In short, if we overlook the petty stuff that has gone on between us it would seem that we have each realized a net gain and that is how I choose to look at it from now on. I consider the hatchet already buried and I'm looking forward to new projects (any good plug ideas?).
