a) Couldn't have hit them, didnt even see them I said I was building them. I already had the techs, (engines, cloak, warherd, computer). They are not that hard to build as they are small, but very expensive. c) They operate on the principle of a shockwave. They wouldnt have damaged huge planetary shields much, but they sent off huge shockwaves destroying nearby cities and cracking the crust. d) see b e) they are cruise missiles, thus having an extremely long range. I mentioned that they were meant for far away strikes. f) I didn't say it was instantly destroyed, just the major cities it hit. It took a little (not much though) time for the devastation to spread and melt the surface.
And remember, I only had a few. (just some for those cities, some unhit areas, and orbiting bases). I'm still building, but I need a supply, and production is slow because I expended much money on the first few.
I am beginning research on a miniature ship designed to carry a small tachyon beam. It would be fighter sized, slow, and powerful. This technology will also be put on immobile pods, which are cheaper, but cant move (They would be a defense). Wont be finished for about 3 posts.
------------------ Is the answer to this question 'no'? Chaos to the enemies of the Azdgari
These missiles have no defence. I didn't EXACTLY mention this, but weapons you can't defend against shouldn't be allowed. I DID say anything I missed was as Dark Tide, and that was mentioned in the Dark Tide rules.
Thus, either come up with and tell us a weakness in them, or I'll delete them from existance.

Whats all this about revenge for earth? I attacked earth to avenge the deaths of many billion of my citizens and the destruction of one of my training centers filled with trusted instructors and promising recruits.
message to samurai, encrypted <Can I borrow your 2 vipers? They are already in azdgari, and I need them for something. Also note, the next two are slowed due to other projects, but thanks to your input they will be finished soon.> This would be 2+2+1 prototype=5 Vipers.
I didn't kill billions. I only attacked military bases, and if you remember in the game Raigar doesn't HAVE billions of occupants, just a military base.
And you can still keep Raigar - it's just that the military section is gone for now. Not like with Earth, which has 10 billions dead, whereas I probably killed about 5,000.
weakness: VERY expensive Act with a shockwave, so not much damage done to shields. not maneuverable, so cant be used well against ships (except very large ones), and cant be launched from ships due to the size and extreme mass. AND it is possible to destroy them, if you can detect them a few systems away (They are the fastest man made objects in existence, er, azdgari made, er whatever, you know what i mean) I think there is a new cloak detector that could be useful. If you find them, block them. Use a small ship or a weapon that can fill space with large particles, or drive an asteroid (The computers cant predict man made movements, only natural ones, so if an asteroid was made to turn into it it could.
Basically, if you know about it, it can be destroyed. But watch out, it has big armor, as it is very massive, so dont go shootin em w/ phase weapons or the like. Be creative, they arent invincible.
oh well, too bad, you lost earth. And raigar had jades base on it too, as well as some cities,
Prepare for hell.

The Arc can't bend those waves, but since the system that picks it up sends out energy waves, and the Arc can bend free forms of energy, so it can make a "false" reading. Sometime after construction it may gain the ability to bend concentrated energy i.e beams. The Arc can also bend comm. signals, so it can attack an enemy and prevent them from sending a warning to others.
Also, I need an Odine cloaking device, so my first Arc can spend some time weakening some suns up and then destroy all the enemy planets in some system while remaining undetected.
Work on the Arc is dangerous. I suggest you let me complete and test it before you ask for any information on it.
------------------------
Work on the Arc is taking some time. The main body structure is already complete, but the actual systems will take some time.
------------------ A.S.S Beatrix, Alexandria, Save the Queen.
42 cubes of the U.E.S Sephiroth are now complete, including the one that includes the MATTER DENSITY DETECTOR. The cube which holds the MDD is being powered on it's own and kept on Paaren, and six more will be created to help detect Odine cloaked ships. Work on the U.E.S Sephiroth will be slowed so this will be done by the next turn in light of the recent attack on Earth.
ARADA PILOT: No "prepare for hell"s or "you're going to die"s please. They are truely pointless, and ruin the game. And rememeber that the IA are distributing tachyon sensors around Voinian and Igadzra space - soon you won't be able to get through to me so easily, as they would attack you instantly. There is space between IA and Igadzra to move forces through, but tachyon sensors are in range to sense them.
--------------------
The U.E.S Herione, Ragnarok, Blue Narciss and Climhazzard reach Zidagar space and begin raiding. They destroy about 5 warships per post together, so few to make sure that they are completely safe. Even if the Azdgari mass against them and drop out of cloak suddenly, the Alpha ships would have time to hyperspace out quickly.
The Igadzra had spent the last few weeks in relative seclusion (note my lack of posts on this page). During this time they had been continuing their research and enlarging their space fleet.
Thunder watched as the first Igadzra Destroyer pulled triumphantly out of the stardock on Igadzra. The project had taken over a month to finish, but was well worth it. The plans had originally called for 2 neutron turrets and 1 phase turret, but at the suggestion of their allies, the IA, the Igadzra replaced these with 3 Neutron-Blaze turrets, a far superior armament. The ship proved quite quick and strong, and was already being put into mass production.
The scientists working on the Plasma siphon had been unable to get enough Viridium Cyanate to speed production by any more than a few days, but they had managed to make quite a bit of progress in the past few weeks, and estimated that they were less than two weeks from completion.

ENCRYPTED MESSAGE OF THUNDER
The Odine are indeed a threat. I have been considering helping you with whatever technologies you're working on if you'll do the same for me.
I don't know how that would work in the long run, but if you have any suggestions I'll gladly listen.
OUT OF GAME MESSAGE: Get yourself stronger, Thunder. You're brilliant at playing RPGs, but this one has turned a little mad, and you may need to be mad to keep up.
About the U.E.S Sephiroth: Production IS going fast, at about 50 cubes done now. It will be three more posts for the other cubes, and 1-2 for the changing structure, so it won't be TOO quick. It has a lot of defensive capabilities. Remember that when you fight it.
ALSO: Matter density detectors now cover UE space, at quite a cost.
encrypted message to Arada Pilot
Thank you for the cloaking devices. I will now explain myself:
The bending of light is simple enough, but bending off sensors is much harder, and cannot be done in hyperspace, as there is more area to cover and less time. It is best used when stationary, otherwise some "flashes" may appear.
The teleportation device will be the hardest part of making the Arc. Quite a bit is already done, but the teleporter will take some time.
I would like to tell you that if you require the assistance of Seiken ships or the ASS Beatrix that they are available.
---------------------
One Seiken Arada on a scout spots 10 UE Scoutships scouting out. The Scoutships, the pilot decides, could be heavily armed, so the pilot is careful. He Shocks one, destroying the first Scoutship but taking heavy fire, and then turns around to engage them with it's higher range.
The Scouships are quickly destroyed, and only when the Seiken Arada begins it's trip backwards does it realise that it has just shown the UE the Shock attack.
"Oh well," he says. "The one on the ASS Beatrix will still surprise them!"
Thank you, Jade. I would like some seinken ships in the azdgari system. You can just send plans, and my yards will build them.

Indeed the Odine are a threat to our galaxy. And I have more disturbing news to share with you. Normally I would only share such information with my allies, but this information is of such grave importance that I am sharing it with the UE, Miranu, and Zidagar as well. As you know, the Igadzra have advanced sensor arrays; a natural extension of a suspicious race - we like to know exactly what's going on in our space and around our borders. As you probably know, a massive fleet attacked and destroyed a convoy near IA space. The IA could only tell that either Azdgari or Odine ships attacked their convoy. After we enhanced the data and ran it through our most advanced sensor arrays, though, we have confirmed that it was both. This can only mean that the Azdgari and Odine have formed an alliance, and you must be aware that they are more dangerous together than alone. The whole is more than the sum of its parts. With a threat this great, I see no choice but to work with the UE, at least a little.
Though I cannot share any current Igadzra projects, and would not expect the UE to share theirs, I do have a proposal for a cooperative project that could benefit us both in the battle against the Odine. I've heard rumors that the UE has an advanced weapon called the "Hirogen Blaze." The Igadzra have turretted beams; which you have no doubt seen footage of. If we were able to combine the two, into a kind of "Hirogen Beam," we would have a powerful weapon with which to strike at the Azdgari and Odine. And should we ever find ourselves on opposite sides of a war, we'll both have the technology, so it won't anger our allies that we are working with a potential future enemy. If you agree to this proposal, send a convoy to meet some Igadzra scientists at our base in Mavs.

Message to RMA, IA, and Battledoctor, Voinian. Encryption sequence Lasin-6 confirmed<<
What is perhaps our worst fear has just been realized. The Igadzra scientists have finished running the IA scans of the attackers on the Voinian convoy through their sensor arrays. It confirms that the ships were both Azdgari and Odine, with shared components. This suggests a technology exchange, and likely an alliance, between the Azdgari and Odine. (OOC: Yeah, we all knew this out of character, but our characters now know it too.) This alliance could prove to be more than we can handle alone, with the advanced technology they could come up with together. To that end, I have decided to wotk together with the UE to blend their Hirogen Blaze technology with our turreted beam technology. The resulting weapon will be available through the technology exchange to all of us, and for better or worse the UE will have it as well. Though it is troubling to help a non-ally develop such a powerful weapon, these are desperate times and it is for the best. Since both sides will end up with possession of this new weapon, the balance of power will be unaffected, and the UE and their allies gain no advantage over us. The only effect is that we will have a new power to combat the Azdgari and Odine.
End Message<<
Out of game: Reign of "Chaos" indeed, Thunder. In light of the current facts, I don't think it is entirely necessary for the UE to possess such powerful ships and technology, as they don't have to compete with the Imperium Alliance.
Thus I make the following changes for the good of the RPG: Alpha Ships now don't exist. Work on the Sephiroth is down to 20 cubes down of 84. Hirogen Blazes DO exist, and they strengthen fighters considerably, so please note this STS missiles DON'T exist, because nobody else needs them, and with the Dark Matter Launcher I can do without them. StarLances DO exist, as Rima uses them and I use them for defensive purposes. Omega ships number 2, as usual, and will likely not increase. The Heligun exists, although the range of it is slightly decreased and the power is also decreased, but the firing speed is kept as normal. ALSO! The other RPGs on websites are all excellent. All of you who don't participate in one yet should.
------------------- <<Message to Thunder of the Igadzra, Encryption Sequence Chi-4 Active>>
I will personally meet you on Mavs within two weeks. I shall not travel on my Zidara, the Z.S.S Topaz, as I believe the situation calls for more formality. However, as the UE no longer possess Destroyers, which would have been the perfect ship for my arrival, I shall make my trip in a Scoutship equipped with the Hirogen Blaze, and 5 UE fighter escorts. I shall also inform the Zidagar of this, and suggest to them that they also come, and turn it into a conference. Thus I advise you to invite the Voinians and the Imperium Alliance. Two Freight-Couriers full of scientists will also come.
I will bring the blueprints for the Hirogen Blaze, but be warned that the blueprints and Hirogen Blazes on my escorts are rigged to explode if you either a) open fire on my ships, or attempt to take the blueprints without authorisation.
My UE patrols on the eastern side of the UE frontier shall retreat and return to their families. I agree to let any Igadzra vessels pass through my space as long as you have no complaint with my having them escorted by UE military ships, and I hope this works vice versa. I will also see Voinian and Imperium Alliance ships through my space, although these will be more heavily escorted, as the UE Council distrusts them.
I shall hope that when I enter Histori Station you will have limited forces in the area, but understand that a sign of force will not intimitade me, but rather give me cause to brake off our non-violence pact.
Our position is a strange one. I will work with the Voinians and Imperium Alliance only through you, and I would inform you that I do not trust either as much as I trust you.
Paladin out.
---------------------------------- <<Message to Rima of the Zidagar, Encryption Sequence Chi-7 Active>>
I hope all in Zidagar territory is going well.
In light of current events which reveal that the Odine and Azdgari are indeed allied, as perhaps your raids discovered, I have agreed to meet Thunder on Histori Station in the Mavs system.
I believe it would benefit us both if you were to join the conference with a medium sized vessel that represents the Zidagar and some limited escorts - I suggest Humrugar heavy fighters.
I have informed Thunder of my intent to turn this into a conference, and although I have not received any word as of yet I believe he will agree. Together we may be able to work on a weapon with sufficient capabilities to destroy the Azdgari and Odine.
Also, I have twice met in battle with a mysterious combatant who my spies have named as Jade, a former human who betrayed us and sided with the Azdgari. I believe that she is consolidating her power, and you must beware of her, for during her short stay in the United Earth she proved to be a deadly cunning pilot and a great thinker. I shall inform everybody else of this at the conference.
--------------------------------- <<Message to the Miranu, Encryption Sequence Ch-7 Active>>
I have recently heard of the disappearance of your leader, Taylor. I am sorry to hear of this and offer my aid in any way I may help you.
The Igadzra have invited me to a meeting on Histiri Station. I have informed him that a fullscale conference might be a better idea. As you lack a leader, you are not expected to come to the conference, but we do expect you, as an ally, to accept whatever comes from the meeting.
I hope that soon you elect a new leader, and that your people are not much harmed by the great battle which is no doubt not far away.
Paladin out. ------------------------------ <<Message to BattleDoctor of the Voinians, Encryption Sequence Chi-3>>
I have little to say to a people who my entire race despise, but this.
You are the furthest away from the Azdgari and Odine, and thus I suggest that you make a military presence somewhere closer, such as in Igadzra space. I will see 20 of your warships and their accompanying fighters through my space at a time, and they will be under heavy guard of 40 UE Cruisers and one squadron of UE Fighters during the time they spend in UE territory.

Paladin boards a UE Scoutship, heavily upgraded and armed with the Hirogen Blaze on it's underbelly, and with five UE Fighter escorts - all heavily upgraded and armed with the Hirogen Blaze - set off towards Mavs. Aboard Paladin's Scoutship are two others, his personal advisor and d'Erlon, a famous UE officer.
(This message has been edited by SilverDragon (edited 04-01-2001).)
Work on the Arc is going well. Due to it's small size there is little structural work to be done, and all of that is now completed. The engine and Sol cannon are now completed, but the larger more powerful weaponry will take more time.
Jade sends the blueprints for Seiken vessels to Arada Pilot, but informs him that lately the StQ has not been functioning properly and may need some more work.
Jade smiles. "Well done." she says to one cadet. "And you're sure about all this?" "Yes. I heard the message being received by Rima - Thunder and Paladin are meeting on Histiri Station and others may join too" "Then i suppose i'm going there" Jade smiles again. "To spoil the fun."
I am now constructing Seinken ships. 2 Warships, 12 Aradas, and 48 Azdaras will be produced in about 2 posts. The next 2, and probably last, vipers will be done next post.
The focus of the Odine has switched to espionage and sabotage, using their personal cloaking devices, neural scanners, silenced ion pistols, and natural stealth instincts to become the best spies in the galaxy. Odine spies have infiltrated one of the Imperium Alliance's Citadel class Stations. They have stolen the designs for the station, Buckyball armor, the Imperium cloak, and the Phase Rocket Launcher. All information has been transmitted back to Odine HQ on Meagh. The spies escape on an Odine Destroyer.
Back at Odine HQ, the Imperium cloak has been combined with the Odine cloak to the affect that Odine ships are now undetectable by MDDs.
A small unit of Odine spies has infiltrated a UE base on Luna and have stolen the schematics for the Starlance, the STS systems, and the Beta Warships. The data has been transmitted back to Odine HQ, but they have yet to escape and could possibly be captured by Silverdragon.
Odine spies have learned of the release of the Igadzra Destroyer.
All technolgoical, tactical, and recon information has been funneled back to the Azdgari.
