Reign of Chaos - New RPG

No gripe about the DML. The Verahl thing is a bit daunting, since it is so obviously targeted at me, but not that bad. Maybe it should just be very effective against Odine, not instant-kill.

As suggested, Meteor Missiles, which are now complete, have been updated to include SAE guidance. The V.E.S. Kelmaon is pretty much complete. A new project is set to be started at Isled: The V.E.S. Voinia. It will be a huge warship, incorporating new Crescent technology and shields. It will be around 10 km in length, but weapons systems are not decided on yet. Materials from the 3 scrapped Dreadnoughts will be used.

The Odine Viper, named the O.E.S. Pestilence, is currently in the Azdgari system. Along with it a formidable grouping of Odine Vessels have assembled, with about 20 Destroyers present, as well as 8 battlecruisers.

Okay. The V.E.S. Kelmaon is totally complete. It is the same as the Dreadnought from EVO, except it has slightly better shields, and Meteor Missiles. It is en route to Svass with a skeleton crew, where it will pick up the rest of its crew. There it will remain, because it may be refitted in the very near future with technology acquired from trades.

Paladin, how does the UE manage to build these gigantic ships (U.E.S. Paladin, U.E.S. Apollo) so fast? How do they scrape together the resources to build these so quickly, and so many of them right after one another?

I was looking at the Story Map and noticed that it listed Emalghion and Kelmaon as belonging to the Emalgha. This is false. They belong to the Voinian Empire, as stated in the very beginning of the topic.
Just thought we should have it as accurate as possible 🙂

P.S. I really really need a second in command. Please someone please. If you become my second in command, you will have control over the Voinians on Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday (including this next Saturday!). Please someone please.

Work continues on the rapid intersection missle, the basic design now completed. The delivery pod is all that needs to be completed now. The problems of having continously active machinery, ready to deply instantly is a problem, but will be sorted soon. They are expected to be ready soon, and will be called RIMs.

The tachyon emitters/detectors are progressing nicely, and prototypes will soon be active, but requiring a massive power base, on the level of an Citadel stations power output. It is hoped to be able to intergrate them soon. This group is now a sub-department of the Chaos Theory department.

The magnetic transducer field research is having some troubles at reaching a sufficient range, and will be delayed. It is now intergrated with the energy deployment field group, and it's knowledge is being used well.

In other news, the IA HQ recently suffered a massive detonation of some type, the bottom sphere of the station being ripped away and completely destroyed. What caused this is unknown, but IA HQ will be operating at only 68% effeciency for the next few days, until the replacement is fitted, intergrated, and brought up to suffiecient power levels.

The few phase crystal the IA has in its possesion are being experimented with, in the hopes that they can be used effectively.

Basic weapon reserachers start work on combining phase weaponry targeting controls & speed, with the basic Blaze weaponry. Due to its relatively simple nature, this should not take too long.

While the IA has the same basic type of cloak as the UE, it is now obselete and easily detectable. A new group is formed to look into improving the current cloak, or new methods. For now, this is a low priority, as IA resources are needed elsewhere.

Shipyards start construction on RIMs and prepare to churn out deployment pods. Stations are prepared to recieve tachyon emitters/detectors.

An IA diplomatic fleet is sent to Svass and look into technology exchanges. It is also to talk to the Igadzra on SAE guidence modules, and ways to improve it.

OOC:Yes, I've done a lot, but the only thing the IA really has to its name are the stations, and not much else. I'm correcting that now, and catching up. I dont expect to have a supercruiser for a long while yet, unlike everyone else.

Construction on the V.E.S. Voinia is proceeding nicely. Isled is having trouble recruiting crew members from western Voinian space, but that should be all sorted out by the time that the ship is finished. With Meteor Missiles complete, weapon scientists are temporarily switching their attention to building and researching weaponry which we acquired from the Igadzra.

---------------------------------------

BattleDoctor quietly orders a fleet of 50 supply ships, 10 cruisers, and 25 frigates to move into the Pokoren system. There they will soon begin construction of a new Voinian station (but none of you know that yet).

Allright, in the future, would everybody please make it crystal clear whether they take over a place in an attack or destroy it. This was a problem in Dark Tide, and it is a big source of annoyance to me, since it is harder to make a system become uninhabitted than just make it change colors. Not pointing fingers, Thunder, but let's all be aware of that, shall we?

Updated the map, as you all might have guessed.

The O.E.S. Pestilence jumps into the Mark system, cloaked. It watches as Igadzra vessels land and take off from the planet. Suddenly, when a group of six Igzaras takes off, the O.E.S. Pestilence uncloaks and attacks the six warhsips. The Igzaras wonder why their SAE simply begin spinning, and do not trce their target as they should. With remarkable speed, the Pestilence smashes into the Igazra group, laying waste with its Dark Shrapnel Launchers, which penetrate the shields of the Igazras and tear their hulls apart. Soon the Igazra group is totally eliminated, with only shield damage to the Pestilence. After about five minutes, the Pestilence's shields are back to full, and it cloaks and jumps out of the system.

Work on the RIMs has been completed. The deployment pod problem was solved by using interconnecting machinery, so that no one component is active constantly, but the pod as a whole is always active. The pods are now being deployed in orbit of all IA stations, as well as close to hypereit points, and arranged along sensitive areas. Full saturation is expected in 2 days, but unless a full assault is launched, STS missles will not get through.

Info on RIM:
The RIM is a light missle, with no active warhead, but a powerful, one time use, pusle engine. This engine quickly boosts it to .88c, at which time it can not change direction. It can 'shoot' down enemy missles extremely quickly, but against mainline ships, it is not too effective. It is principly designed to shoot down STS missles, but can be used against conventional warheads.

The Pods are designed not to be attached to stations or ships, due to the massive kickback caused by launching. It is possible to outfit stations and large ships with them, but they are more effective when mobile. A quick deployment bay is advised for maximum use in battles. Research is being done into a powered down version for more mainline use.

Work on tachyon emitters/detectors has now been completed, and the final fitting to stations is being done. They act as tachyon sensors, and are highly prized. Due to the FTL nature of tachyons in real space, information can be recieved from surrounding systems, and cloaked ships detected in system, and possibly in connecting systems depending on the cloak. The amazing thing about tachyon sensors, is information is recieved before the scan is actually sent out, as the tachyons break the light barrier, and end up getting back before they are sent. This allows a few seconds before something happens, allowing weapons and shields to be used as needed, allowing a great advantage. Attempts to increase the time difference have all resulted in equipment exploding, ceasing to exist, and duplication. The Chaos Theory group had great success in getting things to work. The problem of the great power source needed means this can not be used in the field. It allows the RIM to be very effective, as they can be targeted before any STS missle enter the system.

Phase weaponry targeting & speed systems have now been intergrated with Blaze technology. The improved weaponry is now being outfitted on IA ships and stations.

The Energy Deployment Field group has released a prototype field that can deflect shockwave weapons from outfitted facilities. Shockwaves and energy fields directed at it are merely redirected around the field, not deflected. Normal weapons are concentrated bursts of energy, or mass, and are not effected by the field. Fields are being outfitted to stations, and will be of sufficient range to protect IA fleets if they move close to the station. A smaller version is being researched, to protect outlying forces.

Structural research is started on a light cruiser, to be approx. 100m long, and intergrating new IA technology, instead of merely upgrading current ships.

Construction is started on 2 half spheres, that can interlock perfectly, and 8/10ths of the phase crystals in the IAs possesion is to be used as the substructure, crafted to absorb, and channel great amount of energy. This will be ready in 2 days.

My ship is now outfitted with enhanced blaze turrets, and the Phase beam is now fitted to a swivel mount.

I do not have full information, but what I do have will allow the SAEs guidance system to be improved dramitically. Intergrating Mirani Nebula sensor technology will also help.

Working together, we should be able to increase our shield strength dramatically. Once Voinian armour is intergrated, no enemy will beat us.

The V.E.S. Voinia is progressing well in it's construstion. Currently, scientists are working on improving space mines, but in what way has not been finalized. a better targeting system and possibly some propulsion will be included.

---------------------------------

The plans for the new station in Pokoren have been completed, and construction is underway. It will be a large, well-armed station, but it will hopefully be used as a trading post with other nations. It will incorporate many new technologies that the Voinians havbe recently acquired. The system has had a minefield set up at a distance from the station to defend agains Odine, Azdgari, or Renegades.
Note: the Story Map should probably be altered to make Pokoren Voinian space.

Scientists have decided that the new space mine variants will be about 1.5 times as powerful as the old ones, and they will have small propulsion systems to smash into ships that pass near them, but not quite near enough to set them off, and also the propulsion will make them easier to deploy. They will also have a better computer on them, including remote control, and better targeting systems. They will be pretty much the smae size as othe mines, but scientists are looking into making several variants of the mine, essentially the same weapon but just different explosive sizes.

----------------------------------

A new type of ship will also have to be developed to better deploy the new mines, which will surely be used more than the old ones. The ship would be larger than the supply ship, probably 2-3 times as large. It would be pretty fast and maneuverable relative to other Voinian ships, and it would have little in the way of weapons (other than mines). It would mostly stay away from combat.

I suppose that everyones been wondering what my scientists have been researching. Well, I'll tell you one of them:
Space-time dimensional disruptors.
These are small packages that contain the circuitry found on modern dimensional drive engines (play fh if you dont understand), but with much more complex computers and a 360° pulse dish. What it does is this: It switches dimensions of a battlefield, bringing all objects to different positions, facing different directions. Motion is completely different in higher dimensions. This outfit can cause extreme chaos in a battlefield, and could end up making ships attack themselves or their allies. (It can move a ship in front of a weapon it fired). I have equipped the first prototype viper (outfits: more phase turrets as the largest UE supercruiser, SAD's, 4 Azdara bays, all azd shield upgrades, 4 tachyon beams, 24 dark schrapnel launchers, and 50 ion cannons) with one of these devices, as well as my personal ship. Samurai can have one too, if he wishes.

Prepare to die.

Remember: only samurai knows about this.

------------------
Is the answer to this question 'no'?
Chaos to the enemies of the Azdgari

Well, seeing as the V.E.S. Voinia is fairly far into construction, I thought I better determine the specifics of it.
The V.E.S. Voinia is about 10km long. It has very, very strong armor (as many Voinian ships do), and very strong shields, adapted from Igadzra shields. It's primary weapons will be interchangeable depending on who I am fighting, but default configuration will include 10 Enhanced Neutron Turrets, and 4 Enhanced Blaze Turrets (from the IA). Secondaries will include Salvo Rocket Turrets, Meteor Missiles, RIMs, and a fighter bay will definetely be installed but current Voinian fighters are hopelessly out dated, so the bay may not be caryying anything for a while. It is about 3/8 finished.

---------------------------------------------

The design for the Voinian Minlayer is complete. It took so little time because it is basically just an enlarged Supply Ship with bigger engines, better turn jets, and more shields n' armor. It can also be used as a fast cargo vessel, because it has vast holds within it to carry all of the space mines. A prototype is scheduled to be constructed on Voinia, but it may be a while before this happens; the new mines are still being designed.

I am of the opinion that an exchange program like this would benefit us all greatly.)

-------------------------------------

Work on the station in Pokoren is going as well as could be expected. The Voinians are really making no effort to conceal the goings-on in Pokoren, so if you want to have your government know about it just say you picked it up on long-range scans or one of your pilots saw it while on a scouting mission or something like that. Of course, my other projects are top secret, except to my allies, the IA and the Igadzra.

-------------------------------------

It has become apparent recently that in order to keep up with other races, the hopelessly outdated Heavy Fighter and Interceptor must be replaced. The Voinian Empire needs a fast, strong fighter, that can pack a good punch, and therefore they must design something new. Scientists are already hard at work trying to come up with a good fighter that is easy to mass produce. A few things are already becoming clear to the Voinians. Any good fighter can't be burdened by excessive armor, so the new fighter will use shields similar to those found on Igadzra and IA ships. The new fighter must also use weaponry that will be unconventional for the Voinians. Neutron weapons have always been best suited for capital ships, so the new fighters will have to use Enhanced Blaze Cannons. A design will surely be found soon, and the fighter can be tested.

The Igadzra convoy, consisting of 6 Igadzra aradas and 3 Igazras, arrived safely in at IA headquarters and requested clearance to dock. On board, the Igadzra diplomats were greeted by IA representitives, and prepared to talk about technology exchange and other matters. Also, one of the Igadzra mentioned a disturbing incident in the Mark system in which several Igazras were attacked and destroyed by a ship that could only be identified as "Odine" by it's transponder code. Scans of the vessel were still being analyzed, in an attempt to ascertain its level of shielding, armor, and what weapons it had at its disposal.

Igadzra researchers reported to Thunder that work on the turreted beam project was progressing well, and that they had begun work on a weapon they called a "plasma siphon." The latter was still in the research stages, but was promising.

Meanwhile, in the Reban system, a fleet of 5 Igadzra aradas, 10 Igazras, and a large number of transport vessels entered the Reban system and landed on Reban IV. They immediately began setting up a research colony, where they could work on their research projects in complete solitude. Military training facilites were also slated to be installed as well.
