Err... Paladin, I changed my plans regarding the Dreadnoughts. ------------------------------
<message, light encryption> To: Paladin, UE From: BattleDoctor, Voinian (I would like to say that your recent act against Pax Station in the Dogovor system was deplorable. The citizens of Pax Station were neutral in this war, and Pax was not, I repeat not a Voinian station. There will be no retaliation due to our non-ownership of it, but what you did was totally unacceptable. I think that others will agree with me.) <end message>
------------------------------
Paladin, aren't you building these superships a bit fast? And do you really have the resources to build 3 in a row? I'm not sure I agree with your actions regarding shipbuilding...
The V.E.S. Kelmaon is about 5/8 done. The new Homing Missiles have been named "Meteor Long-Range Missiles", but deployment of them is still uncertain.

With the new alliances that were forming, the Igadzra knew that they would have to put their main resources to protecting themselves from incursion by powerful enemies. This could be achieved by finally putting an end to the constant drain on resources caused by the Renegades. In order to do this, Thunder ordered a massive fleet of more than fifty Igazras to converge on the DSN-6107 and attack Neslaut. The rengades launched their defense fleet of Laziras and aradas, but it was no match for the raw power of the Igadzra forces. Despite losing 8 Igazras and 3 Igadzra aradas in battle, the Igadzra were victorious, completely destroying the renegade defense fleet. They moved in to take over the base on the surface...
----------------
Meanwhile, five Igazras and ten Igadzra aradas dropped out of hyperspace into the Svass system and requested permission to dock at the station. The Igadzra diplomats had arrived, and negotiations between the Igadzra and Voinians could now be finalized.
------------------ A hatch opened up and the aliens said, "We're sorry to learn that you soon will be dead, But though you may find this slightly macabre, We prefer your extinction to the loss of our job."
The Voinians welcome the arrival of the Igadzra diplomats at Svass Station. We have put a large fleet in the system to guard against possible threats. Now that we have formed an alliance, the Voinians would like to begin an exchange of technologies. Is this okay with the Igadzra? We would give the Igadzra neutron technology, turreted rockets, Meteor Missiles, and knowledge of our armor systems in return for Igadzra shields and knowledge of Crescent weaponry. Possibly we could work together on the turreted beam project that the Igadzra are developing.
"Sir!" a scoutship captain during a general meeting of the U.E
"Speak, cadet." Paladin replied.
"The Igadzra have eliminated the renegades in the south."
"Why didn't I think of that?" Paladin murmured. "Send a force to clear out the human renegades. It'll make everything a lot simpler."
"But, sir." an admiral butted in. "What about the losses?"
"We're sending a fleet of UE Cruisers with phase weapons are you're worried about losses. There won't be any." Paladin smiled.
--------------------------
Dozens of UE Cruisers descended on the systems of <can't remember> and <can't remember>. The renegades massed their forces, and were easily swept away. Many UE Fighters were destroyed, amd 1 UE Cruiser was damaged so much it was put out of commission afterwards.
Paladin north from Saalia in his UE Fighter. He sucks fuel in from his fuel scoop after a few days, and then continues. He sees an Odine Fighter along the way, and by some incredible luck manages to evade it. Soon he reaches Priat.
MESSAGE TO VOINIA: As you now know, Pax Station has been destroyed. I hope you understand that although it may look like our forces are all over the place, that we are actually very well organised. The UE ships assigned to fight you all have blaze weapons, while others are on standby to attack on crescent ships, armed with phase weapons. A fleet of Freight Couriers is ready to switch the equipping at any time to counter any threat they meet.
MESSAGE OF IGADZRA: We have had limited contact with your people, Thunder, but we assure you that we mean you no harm. Our peoples may not have much in common, but a war at this time would be foolish. Considering the state of the galaxy, even such a thing asan alliance may be a good idea. Message me with your decision.
NOTE: Of course, Thunder, I don't know about your alliance with the Voinians. I would like to note to EVERYONE that alliances are completely free - do whatever you want, generally. I know this plee will be rejected - but it adds more to the game to put it in, especially if it gives you a chance to infiltrate the U.E

<message, Gamma-12 encrypted> To: Paladin, UE From: BattleDoctor, Voinian (Your recent message to us made it clear that at this point in time you are interested in fighting us. However, the Voinians are not interested in fighting you right now. As you know, certain things have been happening in the Crescent. We believe that these events are more pressing than our conflict. The Odine are a very powerful race, and they may be a threat to all of us if left unchecked. For these reasons, we propose a non-agression pact for the time being, so we can focus on not letting the Odine get too powerful. Voinia's focus is on the Crescent, and it would benfit both of us to be unburdened by our conflict at the moment. The non-agression pact would certaintly be temporary. Please respond.) <end message>
-----ENCRYPTED MESSAGE TO BATTLEDOCTOR-------
I was not seeking a battle - but merely expecting one.
I agree with you on the non-aggression pact, and will place down these following rules:
1. No Voinian military ship may engage a United Earth military ship unless provoked, and vice versa. 2. No cargo ships belonging to the Voinians or the United Earth may be attacked, either directly from a military ship or from a long range projectile weapon. 3. No Voinian ship may enter within one hyperspace jump of United Earth territory within permission, and vice versa. 4. Any allies of either side must agree to this pact, and they must follow the same rules. 5. Both sides must reveal all their allies to prevent any upsets. 6. Voinian allies and United Earth may still fight, but cannot expect backup, as either the Voinians or United Earth fighting each others allies IS PROHIBITED. 7. No demands must be made from one government to another, and the recipient cannot be expected to comply. 8. The pact ends when the Voinians decide no longer to pursue it, and vice versa. 9. No responsibilty can be taken for individuals breaking the pact.
Do the Voinians agree to this pact?
------ENCRYPTED MESSAGE TO RIMA, TAYLOR------
I have recently received a plee for a non-violence pact from the Voinians. I have accepted, but have little intent to follow the pact through.
I must discuss with our next course of action. If the Voinians are being sincere, then we may be able to crush the Odine very quickly, especially if the Voinians have allied themselves with the Igadzra or Imperium Alliance - the latter unlikely as the I.A still lack a leader.
I await both of you at Priat.
Can I join in as IA? That is, if I'm told what they have availible to them...
I'm a long time EV/O'er, and i've been at varying distances to the community. Decided I should get more involved in this part of it again.
thanks...be awaiting

Message to Paladin, UE, Encryption sequence Epsilon-1 active<<<
I believe it would be beneficial to both of us if we agreed to a non-agression pact. The Igadzra are already in danger of raids by our strand rivals, the Zidagar and the Azdgari, and we have yet to determine the intentions of the Odine and whether they are friend or foe. The last thing we need is yet another enemy.
As such we propose a pact of non-agression, in which Igadzra and UE ships would not fire on one another unless provoked, and would not violate each other's borders without permission. Would the UE be willing to agree to such a pact?

---------------------
Thunder had anticipated an exchange of technologies with the Voinians, and had sent plans for Igadzra shield matrices, phase cannons and turrets, dispersal rockets, and SAE modules with the diplomats aboard their flagship. Once the lead diplomat heard that the Voinians were indeed interested in a technology exchange, he immediately agreed to do so, and added that the Igadzra would welcome help speeding up completion the turretted beam project.
Looking over the designs the Voinians had supplied in exchange, one of the Igadzra scientists noted that the accuracy of the Meteor missiles could be improved by almost 35% if guidance circutry from SAE modules was integrated into the design...
I'm sorting that out on AIM, everybody.
I think we have a new recruit here!
We now have one of the Imperium Alliance!
He'll give you all the NEW info on the Imperium Alliance, and don't worry, I won't go to easy on him just because he's a late arrival.
--------------------- Igadzra non-violence pact? Sure thing!
Okay, a bit of info about the IA.
Citedal Class Station These stations have massive armour and shields, and can exchange fire with a supercruiser and come out on top, ready to face the next enemy. Weaponry consits of a phase beam derivative, with emitters in a wide band round the circumfrence of the station, and pulse emitters on the top and bottom, which have a massive range, and can do massive damage. Massive amounts of blaze weaponry, mixed with phase weaponry cover the stations. A newly fitted weapon is a space mine railgun launcher.
EXTRA:Stations also have an ultra-sensitive mass detector. This allows cloaked ships to be detected, as the ships still exist in this space time, and have a mass.
The capital station is constantly being outfitted with prototype weapons and defenses, and the planet it orbits is being built up, and the local population is being intergrated.
The planet in DSN-4846 is being used for weapons research.
The hyperexit points in each system are littered with Magnetic mines, with control linked to the station insystem. Any ships entering unauthorized are set upon by these mines, detonation held off till the ships are hailed and their reason for being their discovered. UE & Miranu ships get attacked instantly.
Fleets consist of UE and crescent ships for now, till new designs are completed. Fleets are the same size as UE fleets. Most ships have upgraded armour, and are outfitted with Blaze weaponry. My ship is an upgraded UE Cruiser, outfitted with crescent engines, powerful shields and armour, a spacemine railgun, an assortment of SADs(mostly), some hunters and rockets, an upgraded Phase Beam, and blaze & phase weaponry9mostly blaze).
Now, dont worry, the IA doesnt have access to anymore Phase beams, just the ones the Zidigar donated during formation. Do have a few pahse crystal still though. Not enough to outfit many ships though.
Systems the IA controls(6 of them, say if you think they should be somewhere else): DSN-4533 Smott DSN-8619(Capital) DSN-9608 DSN-1154 DSN-4846

Great to see you around, RMA! You might have gone a little over the top - I said less ships than the UE, remember?
But you still don't have a defence from stellar to stellar missiles! Those pulse emitters can't have a range equal of STSs - that would be going too much over the top on your side. I'm sorry, but that part of the post is rejected. You can lower the range if you want, either that or total rejection of your pulse emitter.
Oh, and yes.............
---------------------- ENCRYPTED MESSAGE TO RMA
Our position is a strange one. I have non-violence pacts with your allies, and thus feel obliged not to fight you. And yet, I want to tear out your guts!
So I'm struggling with ideas here. I've finally decided upon expanding the STS (stellar to stellar) missile's range, and placing a number of ships on constant standby to open fire on you if you make any move against me or my allies.
Remember, you may have strong defences, but none of your ships can match the U.E.S Paladin out in the field - if Rima lets me borrow it back - and soon the U.E.S Apollo, and then the U.E.S Crusader will be around too.
You can decide on watching us pummel your kingdom away, holding position or attacking the Odine / Azdgari, or trying to meet us in the open field, where the combined forces of the UE and the Zidagar/Miranu will rip you to shreds.
Told you I wouldn't go easy on you.
NOTE: Tell me if I missed any defence you have that protects you from STSs.

While you have recently agreed a cease-fire with the UE, I beleive it would be to our best interests to become allys and share our technology. I can also offer intelligence on the UE, as due to our past relationship with them, we have them highly infiltrated. Thankfully, we rooted out any spies when we split from their weak rule. They left it too long to do so.
I hope for a favourable reply,

<ecrypted level 9ΔΊ> To:Thunder, Igadzra Prime Minister
You have power in the crescent, and being dire enemies of the Zidagar, I would like an alliance. The Azdagari have entered an alliance with this new race, who threaten the rest of us. Between us, we could do much more. A similar offer has been sent to the Voinians, and if we where all allies, none could stand before us.
regards,
Hey all, I made a story map! Check it out at (url="http://"http://www.angelfire.com/ma3/coffeebreak/RCmap.gif")http://www.angelfire...break/RCmap.gif(/url)
The Odine Viper is complete! It houses 12 Ion Turrets, 2 Tachyonic Laser Turrets, 4 Dark Shrapnel Launchers, and a crew of about 38 Odine (that's a lot for an Odine ship.) It has a very efficient cloaking system, and an inherent jamming device that makes it very difficult for guided missles to acquire a lock. It also posesses a powerful long-range weapon called the Enflux. The Enflux fires a massive electromagnetic pulse which overwhelms a ship shield capacitors and blacks out their systems, leaving them inert. It requires energy to be charged via a scoop at the head of the vessel, so it takes a long time to charge up for a blast. The pulse affects all non-Odine vessel within 3 miles, though during the last mile it peters out somewhat. The Viper is 5.7 Kilometers long, and it has a sleek, black and purple design. It has double the shields and armor of an Odine Warship, and it maneuverability and shield recharge have been improved by Azdgari technology. It launches ten specialized Odine Fighters, with no Ion cannons but one non turreted Tachyonic Laser each. They also have improved speed and maneuverability. Samurai himself stays aboard it.
------------------ Macintosh for productivity, Linux for development, Palm for mobility, and Windows for Solitaire.
Inform the scientists in DSN-4846 to start work on a rapid intersection missle and pod to deploy them.
Work is started in the rest of the IA on magnetic transducer fields, and bouys to emit them. Research is started on massive output engines based on gravitonic principles. Research is also started on tachyon emitters/detectors.
Start scans for a large chuck of metal on the planet in DSN-4846.
The Magnetic Mines surrounding hyperexit points are programmed to explode on STS' should any arrive insystem. Since they surround the points, they should be able to get almost everyone. The Ones that get past that can get blasted by the Pulse emitters, or just smash against the stations hardly harming them.
Ahhh, systems are as stated by me then. Fleets just below UE fleet size.
Sorry about that, I started making the map before I read some of those posts. Now it's fixed,
Rima sends the blueprints in a heavily encrypted message to both of her allies. Then getting Paladins message she first gets the U.E.S Paladin a Phase Rocket Launcher and 60 rockets. She also inputs a Zidgar ECM.She has also outfitted all the ships That Paladin had given her before with PR launchers. She gives her own ship a PR launcher and sends a message to the Taylor.
~Heavily encrypted~ Greetings Taylor.I would like to buy some magnetic mines for the Zidgar.Hopefully we will meet on Priat. ~End~ Now that the PR rockets are done Rima thinks what she should research next. Finally she decides to reaserch a cloak and a cloak detecter for her people. She sends to Vlagos the new project and then heads to Priat.
------------------ I'm not dead yet.In fact I feel pretty good!" I cut off your arm!""It's only a flesh wound!" "Bless this holy hand grenade..."
Paladin begins improving the STSs. Within a day or two they will have their own shielding and move much faster. They can also be set to destroy magnetic mines.
However, every single STS around would need to be fired at the same time to destroy one IA base that way.
Paladin sends the STS launcher and blueprints for more launchers/missiles to Rima and Taylor. He says "They'll only work on very big ships or ships Zidara size that have almost every else taken out." He cargo is taken on a UE Scoutship, and it manages it get around the IA blockade - just.......
The U.E.S Apollo is completed. In light of the Voinian non-violence pact, it is to be retrofitted with phase weapons. The next ship is to be renamed the U.E.S Excalibur.
The U.E.S Excalibur will be 10 kilometres long, armed with an army of STS missiles, phased rockets, and a newly designed weapon - the Dark Matter Launcher, or D.M.T.
The Dark Matter Launcher creates a warp in space itself. It takes a week to reload itself, which happens without any fuel losses, and is capable of incinerating absolutely anything - with no exceptions - over a range of 2km by 2km. It is to be used on large targets to rip shields apart. Areas hit by this are completely inpassable in the future.
-----------------
Also: UE scientists are working on something called a Verahl crystal. It is thought that it is attracted the the crystals Odine ships use, and that upon collision a giant explosion is created. It can apparently move through armour, but not shielding.
Once the Verahl crystal has been understand, it can fire through Odine ships with their shields down to obliterate them instantly.
REMARK ANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESE POSTS - BOTH NEW TECHS AND THE NEW SHIP WILL TAKE A WHILE.........
