These ideas are great!!!! I think that a good weapon would be a plasma gun. The plasma gun launches plasma balls at the enemy. These plasma balls fire very accurately at high speeds with about 10 shots per second. plasma balls don't have a very high damage rating. Of course, the plasma turret is also nesacary.

PPS If you max out the inacuracy on a fixed gun it will fire in all directions. Maybe you could use this for those weapons that fire all around the ship.

Hmmm... Pretty good Voinian Ambassador. You could those as something like a defense pod for systems or for defense fleets. How about this; a heavily armored thing packed with weapons but slower than a Voinian cruiser used for system and planetary defense?

Uh, yeah, it looks cool VA. I'm concerned about how it would look scaled down to sprite size, though. A launcher graphic would be... good. I have a gunpod PICT and a Launcher PICT, but methinks they don't look (up close) as good as that. Go for it. If you get the set done, I'd love to include it as the graphic for the pod.

No no! Not Hunter missles!! Their only good aspect is that they can't be jammed! They're slow speed, slow turning, and have average payload.. They're also heavy!!
So I think the Hunter Missle should remian un-jammable...
What about a shield regeneration device that uses fuel to regenerate shields. It could be selected like a secondary weapon. Then when you use it, it would drain lare amounts of fuel but shields would come back exceptionally fast. Say 100 units of fuel could bring back 25 in shield shipyard units back. This way it would make it easier to get back into the battle but if you took too much fuel it could get you in a pickle.

Well, here it is at reduced size... ...and as an outfit: Maybe I need to make the solar panels brighter (and the detail on them is wasted, so I'll delete that and reduce the render times). Anyway, do we use this gunpod?

This raises a key point, Alien. If Samurai isn't very diligent, he'll create a plug which allows players access to a whole mess of new equipment, which doesn't ever get used against him. I think a good way to ensure game balance is to make the equipment available to some AI ships as well.
Samurai, would you consider: (list=a) () adding a few pers resources that use the new renagade equipment? () equipping traffic in the region of the new station with new ships which use these weapons? (*) equipping the station's defense fleet with these new ships? (/list=a) See you around the galaxy, Captain...
