And you're talking about Matt Burch, right? Funny I've never seen him before...

Yep, He is definitely around :). I've never tried to kill him before, but I'd be surprised if he was that much of a challenge :).

You DARED to attack Sir Matt's spaceworthy vessel? Your mother was a shuttlecraft, and your father smelt of hyperspace fuel! I fire my blaze turrets in you gen-areil direction! I shall fire my bovian missiles at your puny baked potato wrapper!
Besides. It serves you right he whooped your ship. It IS Matt Bruch, you know. 😛

Do-spect armor? Hah!
I Do'spect that you're going to die, mister Vonian.

ACtually I think Mr. Burch is a bit more protected than what you guys think--he is certainly beatable though (I've done it 3 times). Compared to the Burch Kestrel in EV, his Turncoat is a toy.

Oh yes, I also destroyed Mr. Welsh a few times....no real reason, save that his hail quote "get out of my way or I'll blast you to blazes!" annoyed me at the time. 😛

Yeah. My general policy if they annoy me with their com lines they die. (Or at least I shoot them. Not quite always the same thing).Other examples - "Nobody can match my skill." Thats askibg for trouble in my book. "Don't even think about attacking me." C'mon. Talk about a red rag.

Non est ad astra mollis e terris via.

have you ever tried taking on U.E.S. Incontravertible? I beat him once in my VOINIAN DREADNOUGHT (easy peasy), boarded him and piked 12.5 mil. credits. Its a shame the others like matt burch and andrew welch don't have any cash, but john cook has about 3 mil credits.

Tip: if you really want the dreadnought like me, get a voinian cruiser first( hijacked), make sure ur on ultimate combat rating and get 6 escorts (that ship has a big crew man) before you do the mission.

First of all, welcome to the boards.

However, it's usually considered uncouth to reply to topics that are 5 years old. A good portion of those who posted stuff in this topic haven't posted anything anywhere in quite some time.

whoops, didn't notice that.

That's okay, you're forgiven. It's not like there are a bagrillion topics on the EVO forum that need moderating.

Which point? Do you mean your 'tip' how to capture the Voinian Dreadnought? It isn't very detailed and I think that it's not important to have an Ultimate combat rating, you could do it with a Deadly one, too.

Do you know that you're replying to a 5-year-old post?

Sorry to necropost again; I'm new to the board. I've seen Matt Burch in Override (and haven't played the first EV.) I haven't fought him. I do seem to recall, however, that Matt Burch isn't asigned the "Ambrosia" transponder code in EVO. (I think he's just a trader?)

That's true. Matt is not, and never has been, an Ambrosia employee (just as I am/was not either).

There are several non-Ambrosia people in EV. Jason Jones springs to mind.

And who was "Elizabeth Rieb" (the chick who flies a Crescent Warship)? And is there such a thing as insanelygreat.com?

runs off, checks site name...

Apparently there is.

She won a competition (as her hail/comm quotes tell you! ;)).
