My mother didn't start using computers until she was over 75. I gave her my old Mac then and she never looked back. Now she's a not very mobile 81 but she does love to sit and play games on the computer. I doubt if any of these youngsters will stop playing games when they get as ancient as I am.

I truly believe that all deadlines are unreasonable regardless of the amount of time given.
How come it's only older women?
It was my mother who introduced everyone in our family to Macs. (We call her Mother Macintosh). She'll be 75 this year and is still doing the editing for an international magazine on her (current) G4. She started out with an SE.
(My daughter is third generation Macintosh user. Never had a PeeCee in the house.)

My father was a programmer, but he died before Macs were around. My husband and both my sons (both over 20) are also programmers who use and program Macs at home even if they can't get Mac jobs. Here's our fourth generation Mac user. He still needs a bit of a hand now and then - but he shows promise.

I knew that "third generation" comment would spark an opportunity for Liz to show off that (fourth generation Mac user) grandchild!
That is drop dead cute. Congratulations on raising yet another hacker.

His or her mother or father could have typed that up for them, as well.
