It would be interesting to see why people like a universe over others. Plugins that extend existing universes are allowed, but please say which universe is required. Thanks!
Only one rule: No Star Wars, Babylon 5, or other commercial fan plugins. Unique universes only!
Its nova for me, because I'm a PC user and nova came first to me.

Override! I like the idea with the Emalgha, no other EV has a completly underdeveloped culture!

Yes, but Banter & Brawl didn't seem like the appropriate forum judging by the topics that can come up there.
I'm refraining from playing many games lately due to work, but I did think there was a converter for the classic and override files to nova. Might have been mistaken, but if I'm right they're worth checking out.
Nova is more sophisticated, but I have to choose Override - for excellent balance between ships, weaps, plots, missions, variety, and most important, continuous play after a string is completed.
For plug... has to be Frozen Heart.
Override was always my favorite.
Nova is nice, but as soon as I tried Classic EV it was just, captivating, especially with ReVisited.:wub:
But I never really was interested in Override, because I could NEVER

It's possible to capture the Dreadnought without plugs. See the Qanool method, or be very lucky.

You mean when entering the system you abort the mission and try to capture it? lol, thats still only a 1% no matter what your flying.
