Hi! Every time that I play EV (or EV override), It crashes. It happes normally when I am looking at the map or when I am on planets, mainly in the Mission Computer. I have only once played without it crashing, and I only polayed that time for an hour. Usually it crashes after about ten minutes! I have an 8100/80 av with 88 mb of RAM, Mac OS 8.5. I have tried turning off extensions, lowering the number of extensions, zapping the PRAM, changing around the RAM in its slots (I have it properly configured in twos), Reinstalling, and throwing away the pref files. None of it works. Please help me!

Did you try allocating more memory to EV? It might just be you computer.

Yes, I have tried allocating more memory. I have it set to 30000k currently. No, I am not using any plugins, except for whatever the "Tuner" plugins.
Maybe the amount of 8's in your system info is the problem Or - maybe: either the video card is not good enough, or... (the painful choice) it could be your pilot file. Try starting a new file, and see if it helps. Sorry, but that's about all the help I can give...

Impossible. I've played EVC and EVO without flaw on an old quadra (I think it's a 400). What are you doing when it crashes? I've had the problem of it crashing when I hit the enter button to exit different menus instead of clicking "exit".

Could it be my video card? I am set to 832x648 or something like that at 256 colors. But then again, I have it on another machine set to the same settings. I am pressing return to get out of menus, though, maybe I'll try clicking.

Maybe. I'm running EV and EVO on my Centris 650 on System 7.5.3. It is a little slow, and I am running virtual memory, but it usually does not crash.
