What are some good add-ons to further my EV experience?

EVGE (Escape Velocity Game Expander) ((url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/show.pl?product=ev&category;=plugins&display;=rating&file;=EV Game Expander 1.0u2.sit.bin")download(/url)) is an amazing addon. It takes the original EV universe and expands it by a factor of at least five, adding hundreds of new independent systems, two large new factions (one each allied with the Rebels and the Confederation), new ships for the currently-existing governments. It also features a return of the aliens (in force!) and generally a whole lot of fun.
Another serious expansion that's worth looking at is Galactic Scourge (GS) ((url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/show.pl?product=ev&category;=plugins&display;=rating&file;=GS.sit")download(/url)). It's not quite as polished as EVGE, but it's close and it has a much bigger and more diverse alien presence. The current factions are expanded and new missions are provided, and if you go about it right it even contains a mission string that ends in the destruction of all the known universe.
If you want to add on to the EV universe in a different way, then you can try Clavius And Beyond, which adds a few new systems and a nice long mission string. Pale is another excellent expansion that adds a whole different feel to the galaxy.
Mugabi and Destiny is definitely worth a play - it won't stay in your plugin folder for very long as it simply adds a long and very fun mission string with nothing to do after it, but it's a really good mission string with some amazing graphics.
Other people like Tim's Empire series of plugins - there are four or five of them around. I personally don't think much of them, but you might wish to try them out.

New Horizons never really impressed me that much.. the graphics were rather variable and the missions were rather hard to find and illogical in places.
What is it you dislike about Tim's plugins? I like them alot, I also like NH, Although like you said, some of the missions arent in the best places. I guess we've just got different opinons.

Yup. I tend to go for general polish and flexibility in a plug, which GS and EVGE have large amounts of. Tim's plugins combine a general confusingness with some seriously dodgy graphics, which just puts me off.

The game hust doesnt end, you can get more missions. That was only a story line that pooloo beat.

Basically, in EV you can do a Rebel pilot and a Confed pilot. After you've done this you really have beaten the game.

I agree with DE. The game cant really be beaten. The only way you can really win is you take over all the planets, and can kick everyones butt.. And have the limit of cash.
