Transfer

I want to play EV on my old macintosh, but the file i have on there is corrupted because of some bad plugins i used. Now i can download the file, but i cant get it to the computer from my windows machine because of the format. Any suggestions?

go to the addons page and download EV for Windows

Use Burritos answer or download EV on your mac machine. But to use Burritos suggestion, You have to get EV Nova, register it, and download the patch

I think he's saying he doesn't have internet acess on his Mac, so he'd kinda stuck.

Don't unstuff the file on your Windows machine and you shouldn't have any issues with the format.

BTW, im talking aout the origonal ev, it just sounded like one of the responses was talking about NOVA, also, ive tried that, but the mac wont recognize the disk. :frown:

Well what Unreal Centipede was saying above was, if you download and register EV:Nova, you can also download Escape Velocity Classic for Nova and play EV in Nova.

As for an alternative solution... you could order a cd.

That's where I first found EV...ah, the memories. stayed up 20 hours playing it.

I found it on a demo disk that came with my Performa. It took me months of playing to realize I could save my pilots by importing the game to the hard drive. I was ectastic to get an Argosy. Then I found these boards, and found out about joining governments, and EVO.

You might be able to download it as disk images and just pull them individually to your Mac. If that doesn't work I can try to think of other suggestions...
