General kinda question

Now that EV:N - Classic is back, I'm revelling in nostalgia. The only problem is, that my memory sucks, and I don't remember most of the really cool things I knew back then. Is there a Slagblah type guide out there, that will tell me things like trade routes and such? I would search, but that option has left us, as we all know, so I'm asking here. Any help for an old-timer with failing memory?

D'oh! Talk about selective vision. I've use dthe survival guide many times, all the while managing not to notice it's non-Nova components. Thanks.

Are there plans to complete the missions section of this? I forget much of the Rebel storyline.

(Maybe the reason I am having trouble with it is that I accepted both the Rebel and Confed intro missions. In the original EV, you could do this and then complete both storylines with the same pilot. I can get some missions from each, but not the meaty Aliens missions. I have the EVN Classic version, so maybe it was fixed so you could not do both storylines. Anyone know more on this?)

------------------

You can still do all the missions. I did most of them again on both sides, didn't get the confed alien missions, but I did get the rebel ones. So it's possible. Things that help are killing lots of pirates, some missions give you pirates jumping in each system you are in, so you can kill them where ever you want to boost your rating in that system and any surounding system.

Indeed there is, I'm just placing more importance on the EVN section (although you wouldn't know it, from the lack of updating so far...). I've got the content half ready to convert to HTML, I just need the time (and more importantly, the drive and a lack of anything else to do) and it'll get finished.

Another general question: How do i start and play a plug-in for escape velocity after i've downloaded it? When i double-click the plug, it just calls up and runs the regular ev game.

Did you put it in the Plug-ins folder?

Look, using plugins is very easy.
FOR MACS:
1. Download the plugin.
2. Use Stuffit expander to expand the plugin.
3. Read the read me if the plugin comes with one.
4. Take the plugin, which looks like a puzzle piece, and place it in the plugins folder.
5. Run ev. Don't double click on the plugin, run ev.

For windows:
Exact same thing, except after expanding, run the plugin through the converter, and delete the .map file.
That's it. So figure out what you aren't doing right, and do it right.
