I think the pirates shouldn't be included BECAUSE the entire human race would be united to aid in the cause of exterminating the alien menace. And besides, if there was a pirate system, that would cause serious problems in interference with EV hisory.

I think it's more unrealistic not to have pirates at this point in the game. As to the points that you brought up: 1) The humans wouldn't even know about the Aliens at the beginning of the story, so at first they have no enemy to be united against. 2) What serious problems with the history of EV? It's not like piracy is something that only came along recently at the time of EV, piracy has been around for as long as people have transported valuable things on boats. Plus, it wouldn't even necessarily be a planet, it could be an asteroid base or space station just as easily.
If any new people show up that want to play Pirates they are perfectly free to do so.

Sorry, I guess I was just making stuff up to protect my space's peace. Actually I really don't care if pirates are there or not, because if there wasn't there would be not much stopping further colonization. If pirates are present, we would need to avoid uninhabited systems near pirate space.
Ipvicus, I've been thinking about my faction of the Aliens, and I've come to some decisions about my own characters. I'm not sure if anyone actually cares now, but be warned: expect complicated names and weird grammarsyntax.
I'm glad we've got so many players this quickly. It certainly seemed rather fast for so many slots to fill up.

Ok, So my fleet is good now that i edited it? According to Lukes link the defenders and Argosys are in the Great war (That is if were goeing by that...). If it is than i will use this fleet:

Also can i put an indapendant Fuleing station in the levo system. It will be 100 CR to fill a normal Frigate fuel tank and theres a 10% Discount for the Allied Humans (I think thats a good name for the will be Confederation.) :D. I will post the stats of the station later.

Unreal, my link had nothing to do with this webstory; it was from the Galactic Scourge plug-in's website. I don't think Argosies and Defenders are available.
My character is a fairly 'good' Pirate, as things go. He's killed off any of the Pirates that disagreed with his methods, so he's firmly in control of his faction. He understands that raiding freely would cause the human economy to either collapse or suffer a bad recession, so he ensures raids dont happen too often. He tends to give one warning for a ships crew to surrender themselves, and if they dont he will kill them if they resist. otherwise he ransoms them back for credits.
As for ships, I'm not sure yet, waiting to talk to Ipvicus.
Crap. This is starting to look like "me verses the rest of the universe."
Sorry to drop out before anything happens but I realized I need to leave in three weeks and I won't have internet access for more than a month. Sorry...

RMA, I like your concept of "good" pirates. As long as their not Xenophobes, because if they aren't, there's a chance of pirate/non-pirate alliance, possibly. And about the lightnings, I think they are relatively new in the EV universe, but Rapiers would be the obvious alternative.

I think I'm going to start trying to get those fleet numbers decided today or tomorrow. Post what ship classes you would like to have, and the % of each you would like composing your fleet in the topic and I'll assign the fleet numbers.

The original BFS was a complete success. Probably because it was totally based on stock EV tech.

Pirate Carrier Converted from captured Luxury Liners, the Pirate Carrier retains only a passing resemblance to the original ship. With the bulky luxury fittings ripped out and put to better use by the pirates, and the outer hull stripped and streamlined for a tighter fitting, the Carrier can turn faster, move faster, and can take more punishment. Carrying a complement of 6 Halibuts, and with 2 Laser Turrets, it is the second most common ship after the Halibut. Currently the only way the Pirates can build more of these is to capture a luxury liner and convert it, their shipyards only capable of building Halibut. The Pirate base orbits Adhara, and is fairly well armed, with 6 Laser Turrets, and 3 missile launchers, and enough ammo to destroy any small counter raids on its own. The Pirates maintain a small base on the planet itself, access being granted for Pirates who have done well on raids. A quarter revolution in orbit from the main base, a smaller station exists, producing the limited amounts of antimatter the Pirates need. It orbits so it is always facing the sun, massive solar panels providing it with the power needed to produce the antimatter.

Yes it was a lot of fun. And then over in the alien/dreden empire, we (the aliens) pulled off an amazing victory by capturing your home planet. It was legitimate, regardless of what anyone said. Besides, it was back in the regular ev galaxy that everything fell apart in that webstory.
As for my fleet...it'll be by composition as follows: (this is by percent of the money they cost not percent of the number of ships)
40 percent cost goes to frigate predecessors 30 percent cost goes to rapiers 20 percent goes to carrier 10 percent goes to catamaran
this'd be a lot easier to do if the ships had prices and we each got a specified amount of deniro you know. I'm sort of lost as it is. Go Celtics.
