Hi everyone,
I'm a bit of a newbie at this, and I think I just made a mistake I can't recover from. I had a quest to check out an alien planet and then report back to my findings to the alien on Earth in Sol. The problem is, I figured there'd be some civilization on the planet, so I used all my energy getting there. Now I'm stuck in a star system with no fuel and no ships seem to come through to ask for help (I've waited about an hour and about 2 months worth of game-time). Nobody's coming to help.
I'd really hate to ditch the character and start over. Is there any way for me to get a few units of fuel to get to a neighboring system where some do-gooders might pass through and give me a hand?

For future reference, ALWAYS buy a ramscoop for this very reason.
If you don't want to get your hands dirty, yes, you're dead in the water. If you're willing to take a crash course in plugin editing, make a plugin and modify the planet that you landed on so that it is inhabitable, and therefor allows you to refuel. Add an outfitter while you're at it so that you can purchase a ramscoop.

It sounds to me like you're using Nova, not the original Escape Velocity. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this question would probably be better suited to the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&number;=26&SUBMIT;=Go")Nova forum.(/url)
