If I'm not mistaken, the defense fleet numbers as seen in ResEdit are not exactly the same as the true number. Somewhere I've heard that you're suppost to divide the ResEdit defense fleet number in order to get the real total, but by what number?
Any help would be appreciated. Live long and prosper.

What? Res-Edit is accurate.

Someone here told me that the defense fleet numbers were actually around a third or so of what ResEdit says they are...
From The EV Bible:
The number of ships in the defense fleet. If you set this number to be above 1000, ships will be launched from the planet or station in waves. The last number in this field is the number of ships in each wave, and the first 3-4 numbers (minus 1 from the first digit) are the total number of ships in the planet's fleet. For example, a value of 1082 would be four waves of two ships for a total of eight. A value of 2005 would create waves of five ships each, with 100 ships total in the planet's defense fleet.

I'm currently making an EV information section to the upcoming Dreamwave page, and I wanted to include defense fleet numbers for all the planets.
I just completed a plugin minutes ago though. Aqua Buttons 1.0, which should soon be available on the EV addons page.

Mmmm, aqua.

Yeah, aqua. It doesn't look top quality in EV's 256-color engine, but it still looks cool. You can go ahead and download it (url="http://"http://saberstudios.evula.net/downloads/aquabuttons1.0.sit.bin")here(/url) if you want to take a look at it.

'Bout time somebody did that. I'm looking forward to taking a look at it but I'm without a Mac at the moment. On monday I'll check it out and give you some (most likely) positive feedback.

Sounds good. I've actually already submitted version 1.1 (the text looks a LOT better, and it fixes a few incorrect button replacements and sizes), but it's yet to be posted.

They look great. It appears that I was the first one to get 1.1 after it was posted. Horray me. I think I'll be leaving this in my plugins folder from now on. Thanks alot.

I was wondering if 1.1 was ever going to get posted because I didn't encode the download file. But I guess I got away with it because the .sit file will actually expand correctly now.
You like it, eh? Very good to hear (lucky you on the first download). Have fun!
