Hello,
I've been taking over a few planets in the solar system, however when I try to take over one of the good planets (like in the SOL system) it seems like the defense fleet never stops comming... Right now I'm trying to take over Mars, but I'm begining to think that the defense fleet will keep comming untill I grow old and die in front of my monitor....
Can you tell me how long it should take to beet the Mars fleet, or even better does someone have a websight that lists the planets and how large their fleet is?
THanks in advance for any help you can give.

Mars has 3167 ships defending it. So does Earth, Luna and Stardock Alpha. I don't know where you get this kind of stuf off the net.
Its definetly not worth the time to take over these planets. Instead take over the pirate planets, they are mush easier and pay the same. Use res-edit to check the size of the defense fleets, if i remember right there arent many sites that have the exact number. They just tell you large, small, or medium.
Use EV Edit to find out how many and what ships are defending, and you can alter how many are defending, and change the type of ship defending

...and don't forget there are different ship types in defence.

Took me half a dozen shots of whiskey before I sat down and took over Sirgil Starport for the first time. I hadn't bothered checking the size of the fleet before I started. My mistake. That was a serious pain in the ass. I can't afford enough liquor to make myself attempt Sol and I'd probably pass out long before I finished anyways.

If I feel like having fun, I change the defencive fleets to have shuttles! It is a lot of fun seeing wave after wave of unarmed craft attempt to destroy your ship while you casually hold down the fire button.
