I can't conqer earth!!! I am "driving" a confederation cruiser (boarded) and got an huge escort with confederation frigates, my combat status is ultimate and i have conqerd all the sytems around earth, including mars and the moon. (all the independent sytems too)

Something to keep in mind (unless you already know): If you destroy, say, a few hundred ships of Earth's defense force, jump out of the system, and then return to try again, those few hundred ships you destroyed before are not regenerated by the game engine. The defense fleet numbers then lack a few hundred of their number. This is good if you don't want to battle the entire force in one sitting.

There's another option. Go capture 3 or four argosies as escorts. Fly arond the systems you want your legal status to be fixed in, and thrast the obligatory pirates that seem to follow you around everywhere you go as a result of your cargo-hauling fleet. You'll have your status sky-rocketing in no time.
On a side note: Skyblade, do you know any more specifics about the method you mention. If you jump out of the system and land, does it regenerate the fleet? What if you land, take off, and then quit the game? When you start playing again, is the fleet back to it's full numbers?

You can jump to a system that's friendly, land, quit the game if you like, return to Earth, and the fleet numbers do not regenerate.
y'know, using the forklift always worked wonders for me...of course that's cheating, so if ya want to win this thing on your own powers, that's cool too.

Forklift = evil! Takes some serious fun out of the game. I've taken the whole universe without cheats, so it certainly can be done without the help of the forklift.
