Perhaps I can start with a few changes on the recent actions.
Dragon, I just read your issues on my battle with your fleet in the topic, and you are correct. I apparently made some assumptions based on how we always do things around here (i.e. this is the first time I can recall seeing a fleet begin an attack without launching fighters). The battle section of my post will be reworked, and is void until that time.
Also, reviewing KKs post concerning Lethe... the majority opinion on that seems to be correct, it will have to be voided or substantially reworked. The pass through Regulus seems fine to me, but the actual fight is different. The Kestrels would probably be out of torpedoes, true, and the Vettes might even have fired some of their missiles. But the Vettes would certainly still have had their rockets, unless I missed something, and you did make some tactical choices for Espona that I would judge extremely significant.
As for the thing with INN - such protests would follow the common sense and reality rules, wouldn't they? Is it not reasonable to expect that, whenever a government starts or escalates a war, there will be some dissenters (i.e. Vietnam in the US)? Is it not also reasonable that they might lead protest marches? This type of thing with INN broadcasts was done all the time in BFS I. David Arthur, in particular, controlled a number of things not under his direct control through INN broadcasts. What we really could use is someone neutral to handle all this citizen's stuff, but we don't have one. Consequentially, since I wouldn't expect anyone to have their own citizens doing stuff against the government, it falls to the other side - as long as we stay reasonable about it. You'll specifically note, Dragon, that I said nothing about how the Confederation responded, even though Anderson might be one to expect a brutal crackdown.
(Edit) Perhaps we could get Luke to handle future citizen unrest? He seems to have declared neutrality from everything, and has a pretty level head.(/edit)
Oh, as for the Osiris/Orion issue, I thought Dragon's original attack post said Orion, not Osiris. I may have to go back and edit some stuff on that. I'll agree to keep the move of Skyblade's fleet; it's rather inconsequential anyway, and easy to move back.
Um, one other thing, Rak, assuming you decide to stay/comeback, My information is that Anderson is on Akio, and you don't have any forces there, so I'm not sure that that assassination works.

I inserted a special operations team there using civilian transports. They were the best soldiers in the galaxy, and they were able to penetrate into your command bunker. I then followed their path of destruction and murdered Anderson.

Wheeee! Looks like everyone's having fun with the webstory that is supposed to be fun! Guys, you ALL came up with a great idea for this webstory and now your just going to ruin all the hard work? Please, try to piece it together! Give some benefit to both sides, or just "pause" the story and let everyone rework the posts. And listen to both side fully explain their posts before criticizing. Even though I'm not a part of this, I'd hate to see it just fall apart. Please?

Umh hmm. Of course, I don't see much of anything about the other half dozen officers and half dozen guards in the room with me, or anything about how they got through the perimeter defenses that deep... and really, don't you think a bunch of heavily armed men getting off a civilian ship would arouse maybe a little attention? I'm not necessarily sold on them getting to the bunker, even if they are the best soldiers in the galaxy.
Look, the problem with this webstory, and all others is a few things. You won't listen eachother out when your aruging. You won't accept other peoples thoughts. I won't point out any names, but you have to listen to everyone's thoughts on the matter, than start coming up with solutions in which all sides go out at least without a disadvantage.
Come on now, you can work it out!
Is there a list of the players that are still actually participating? Are there any Rebels left? What happened to Diphidia now that Anderson's dead?

No, I've read the entire discussion thread and webstory. Believe me, I don't want to get involved now.
All right, quite simply, I quit. Quite simply, RMA's post didn't follow the common sense law, IMHO. Of course his fleet would, quite simply, beat my fleet, BUT: a) quite simply, I was expecting his attack, quite simply, it was a one-post battle, and c) quite simply, he can not control how the New Providence defense fleet or citizens would react. Actually, quite simply, I shouldn't have had that power either. Quite simply, we really need neutral mods and a neutral person to do the INN, for future referance.
Any way, the story's dead as far as I'm concerned.
This is probably moot, but...
Enough of the players thought my Echo Wing Rescues Lethe post was unfair. So I went off and simulated "how many of what would do which damage to whom." Based on your comments and my simulation, I have revised the battle of Lethe portion of my post.
(As if anybody is still watching.)
RMA, you have become a cartoon of all the evil attributes of the Fed leadership. You wicked, wicked, evil mean and nasty, dictatorial Fed, you! (So there!)
I only quickly skimmed your (power-play) posts. I don't know if you really plan to continue -- or if anyone else will either. But there are a few problems with your Sirgil battle... 1. There was much more than just a defense fleet at Sirgil. Echo Wing was all that went to Lethe. (see story) 2. One of the two remaining Wings of the 21st was on security patrol. And every fleet in the Rebellion was on High Alert. (see story) 3. Due to 1 and 2, I don't think the Regulus fleet would have "surprised" the Rebels.
I'll take a look at your posts a little closer though, if you wish....

In response to Luka:All I said is the battle would be very one sided. I did not say I actually destroyed a single ship of yours. As for controlling Antares defence fleet, it's Confederation so....I wouldnt expect to. As for the planet it's...Confederation as well. If I state that I think I'm going to win, does that now count as instant victory?
In response to KK:We'd have had a big battle. I wasnt 100% sure on what you had insystem, so I just posted. You can carry it on if you want. Doesnt really matter now.
And as for being evil...you all said the Confederation was evil, so why not? Damn annoying if you accuse us of being evil when we aren't. So I decided to give up and just be evil.

I may just be "talking to myself" here, but...
In editing my "Echo Wing Rescues Lethe" post, I reread the entire story to that point. Here are my three comments:
1. Espona, I mistreated you in the story. (I did not accurately recall how Lethe got "pacified" in the first place and assigned much of that pacification to you. I decided to treat you the same way.) I apologize.
2. Esponer (Read these names right, everybody.) you became irritated with a certain Rebel-connected player for "controlling your people." (Having citizens on Confed systems protest Confed military action.) Did you notice that you violated your very "principle" with your first post? (You had Rebels attacking and terrorizing Ruby.)
3. I really wanted this story to work. I had more "vested" in it than many other players, I guess. (I was so sure allowing ship and weapon TECH escalation was the reason past stories crumbled. I just KNEW a "standard EV tech" story would be wildly successful.) Wrong again....
(Sigh...)

Since Esponer told me he wont be bothering to post here anymore, I'll just reply to a few things.
Unless the Rebels have never carried out their stated intention(which is to defeat the Confederation), the rebels have, at some point, attacked Ruby. It was stated as something which had happened in the past, before the webstory happened. Esponer did not control Rebel fleets. What Esponer (and I), complained about, was the fact that our populace was being controlled in a manner totally against how we were playing.
I'd say the biggest problem with the webstories, is that people go and control far too much of what the enemy does, and have super victories against impossible odds. I also have to say I blame Macavenger for the controlling the enemy bit, and after he said he wouldn't interfere with other govs like most mods do, it was doubly damning.
As for the Sirgil battle, the missiles and stuff were shot at the larger rebel ships, which wouldn't have been able to dodge all that well. I also have to point I never said I surprised the Rebel ships. I merely said the initial misisle barrage would startle the rebel ships. And the patrol ships would never had left primary weapons range of the big ships, so any enemy ships would have to come in close to get at them, and then face a lot of firepower
Anyway, it doesnt matter atall now, since it's failed badly. Ah well. No point in carrying on now.
I say the thing which needs to be done is to make sure that all people know the character of a government, and that they do not go and control an enemy government in a way that totally contradicts what the government is like and what the person doing the controlling says the gov is like. Having people stage a riot/protest against an action when before it's just been said those same people have wanted that certain action, and when the controller says that those people would never be allowed to do it in the first place anyway...
It just gets confusing (as my sentences above are...)
The biggest problem is that everyone considers themselves the smart, righteous good guys, and casts everyone else stupid, idiotic fools who know nothing about tactics.

No, the biggest problem is that everyone wants to win so much that they exaggerate (spelling's wrong, but I don't care) everything their side can do. These stories need reasonable, smart, NEUTRAL mods. This story could have been great. We should try a similar story some time.
Well, just as a note to you all, I do plan to create another EV webstory sometime soon. I would do it now, but I have two other major webstories going on, so I'm very busy.
And this webstory will not fail. I shall work my hardest to prove this point.
