No, it's your horrible lack of any understanding of "fun". Other than the fact that you said you would start the story 5 days ago and that when you did start it there was no real announcement (unlike EVO stories, which do have announcements, or at least set starting dates that everybody knows about), you also claim your story to be minimalistic when instead I look at these rules and a few of them look more complicated that some of the rules for some of the huge EVO stories. Mathmatics has nothing to do with any of this.

Anyway, now that the beginning is over, maybe we can dispense with all this stuff about starting fleets, and get on with the political manuvering. **
Very well.
Another question; mind explaining exactly what all these weird dots mean and what on earth they do?

cough 5 days ago? Try 3 - and it started yesterday, so it was only 2 late. And, I might add, one day worth of that delay was due to other people bickering over the rules. I don't exactly want to start when we're still looking at how to do it.
As for the minimialism issue, there is a reason for what few rules are here (and don't tell me there are a lot, just look at how freaking many BFS III and EVW had) is so that the thing doesn't require the constant attention of a moderator. The way it's been explained to me, you have a mod that runs everything and has to interfere quite frequently. My goal here is to not to have to moderate at all unless necessary. If a couple of rules can reduce a whole lot of moderation later, I'm all for it.
On another note, I just realized that, when writing rules for things like this, I tend to write in something closer to legalese than English. When I have time tomorrow, I'll try to translate them into something which resembles English a bit better. Maybe Rak could do it if I can't - he seems to understand both languages well.

#s 6 and 7 or 7 and 8, can't remember, are definitions. Basically, gray are ship parts, green are money.

I'm honoured, but the real master is my fellow British admiral, RMA. He has this knack of not losing. Seriously, though, good luck, Skyblade. I'm sure this will be very... interesting.

Bah, so I overexaggerate.

I stand corrected, though I wouldn't say that all EVO stories have mods which interfere all the time and run everything.

No need. Just give better explanations.

What about yellow dots?
Originally posted by Captain Carnotaur: What about yellow dots?
Significant agricultural surplus. No current rule system to judge the effect on planets or such, but one or two yellow dots could suggest that the system would be able to make considerably economical gains from trading food, and also that the loss of such a system, belonging to the Confederation or Rebellion, would have an effect somewhat close to starving the enemy to death.

Would you be able to reply to one communication I'm about to make to you? (13th post, I believe)
Skyblade -- Man! I wish you had an e-mail address that worked. -- please note the level of upgrading the Confeds did to their flagships. Also note the number of "special ops" ships they have.
Let's just be sure we are comparable in these categories, please.
Oh yeah. And, GET A YAHOO OR HOTMAIL E-MAIL ... please.

We've actually been more fair with our upgrades than many other people have. They've added two turrets in places where a) they wouldn't fit and there aren't enough turret slots. We've been fair to space, maxes in gun/turrets on ship and maxes in how many of an outfit we have (another area other people have neglected).
What's wrong with how many scoutships we have? We paid for 'em, you know.
how many dots do i get for a def. fleet ? im Jadzia.

Hey guys. I've got about two minutes before I've got to do some projects that will take up the rest of the day. :frown:
My dad doesn't want me getting any e-mail accounts not hosted by him, Karl. He really doesn't even like e-mail at all...
I probably won't be able to actually post until Monday (I had mentioned in another topic that it was likely I wouldn't even be online Thursday and Friday), also since I use my free time on Saturday and some of Sunday doing required Photoshop classes. Karl has complete command of the Rebellion until I get back.
You guys have fun.

Admiral, what's a "Jadzian Kestrel" and, more importantly, a "Jadzian Frigate"?

Two questions:
Do the defense fleets of planets I conquer pop up immediately or are they taken out of my attacking fleet?
What is the location of all the Rebel fleets?

Never said they were not fair, SD. I'm just doing my duty, as a good functionary, to my superior commander....
Huh? I've been gone for three ASW hours. What's this?
Yikes! Guys, this game is in trouble.
I just discovered I'm in charge of the Rebellion until Monday and I have been praying that all this time Skyblade's been gone he was putting some kind of strategy together. The Feds are way ahead on this game. (Not a complaint, Siver Dragon; a compliment.) I will not have the time to even look at this whole fleet construction/calculation thing for another four ASW hours.
Holy cow!!! The Rebellion is in "deep weeds" this time. (Great way to recruit more Rebs, huh?) But it is true. I purposely chose to be a "cog" in the Rebellion machinery because I could not devote sufficient time to running the strategy for the whole Rebellion Navy in this story. Sorry, but that's the situation.
I'll return when I can....

Ahh, talking about unfair...
...when are you going to own up? Or at the very least, learn not to use your own personal organisations within posts that are meant to be anonymous. I'm currently floating between leaving, obliterating you personally, obliterating mentioned independants, ignoring the post entirely, or writing an essay on just how pathetic the entire scheme was. I'm currently running a little low on time - I have a post to make in RoC3 and six exams on unknown days to revise for - so I'd really prefer it if you'd stop bull****ting.
Oh, and nice writing, by the way.
Sorry to disturb the process, but I have sent an email to Carnotaur four-five days ago under nelsontheadmiral, but you did not answer. Please answer when you can before SH begins.

Sorry to say this, but I replied to that. Now, you may have sent me another one, but I haven't recieved any more e-mails from you. I'll re-send you the stats for the Teh'Rak navy if you want.

Bleh, just ignore it. Unregistered users who aren't participating in the story can't have an effect, so that post will have to be void.
1. They just sort of appear, I guess... it would be too complicated to do it another way. 2. No one knows - Skyblade hasn't been around to ceate them yet.
KK - Check your email.
