Um, hi. I'm Espona. If you want to know the history behind my name is pretty simple, actually. It was just a thing I thought up sitting on the toilet(well, maybe not) making my AIM name. It's PURE coincidence. I'm a bit shocked myself. We are two completely seperate people. The style of writing is because it was my first post, and I wanted it to look good. So, there you have it. About agreeing completely with Esponer's proposal, it's because of an AIM conversation between Esponer and me, and I agreed to his terms because I like the Confeds better anyway, the Rebels can just go... you know.

So just be advised, I'm watching that very closely.

Yeah...I remembering exploding at Rooster about what the hell he meant there was an Espona. I also remembering interrogating you for a very long time...ah, the good days...
Ok, before any Confederates get mad over my last post, Dragon, I want you to know that the event I referenced will not be blamed on the Confederation - you have my word. The possibility mentioned is just an in character assumption by a Confederate hating operator, and it's never going to go outside his circle of friends, if that far. Ultimately, I intend for the truth to come out significantly different, so don't start sniping at me yet.

I'm sorry, I have to drop out of this. I've had a computer virus the past few days, and it looks like I'm way too far behind to start playing now :frown: . Mac gets my stuff if he wants it, otherwise it just goes under nobody's control.

Hmm... I suppose I could take over Deneb through that NPC I got in contact with earlier, since Bari's offering. Tough luck on the virus, man. I was so looking forward to executing our plan together, too. Guess I'll just have to do it alone, then. I'll try to find the address of the guy who made that virus on one of my information raids and forward it to you, OK?
If you get rid of the virus, just come back and say the word, and Deneb is yours. I'll try to keep it in one piece for you. Of course, since SD is firmly opposed to all forms of things controlled by me at this point, that could be tough.

Go ahead, Macavenger. I'm considering just annexing independant space anyway.

Oh, please, do. Then I can tear the Confederation apart with an internal Rebellion. That would be seriously fun.
KK calls his travel agent and inquires about other galaxies to visit and explore. ANY other galaxies...!
We'll miss you, Bari.

I just sent a broadcast e-mail to everybody I could think of who might consider joining us on this story. We'll see what happens.
It'd be kinda nice to have some more Feds, Rebs ... AND some more Indies for the unclaimed systems....
Indeed. Then you would learn to ph33r /me political prowess.
Heh. Don't think I'm done - I still have a few political missiles left in the tubes. Then, if those run dry, we move on to the economic missiles.

Indeed, it would. Just don't expect me to give up Deneb unless Bari comes back, because we had some plans together. Dragon has plenty of allies already; only fair that I get to keep mine in some form or another, right?
BTW, is anyone going to post soon, or am I going to have to double post in order to get Deneb III going?

I see. Also - don't try to warp my character background against me, I'm going to release the truth soon.
If you try to use economic muscle then you will fear the combined power of Zaxted and Atinoda.
Mac: Should forklifts be allowed? After all, they are an easter egg weapon. And also, KK can't upgrade his non-Flag/Spec Op ships, right?
The Confederate Navy and the current political party in power are both not accepting new members raising beyond the ranks of captain or standing for any planetary elections. i.e. no new Confederate players.
Reason = cramping our style.
a jadzian frigates etc.. are simply that ship with a Jadzian IFF code. and as i remember you allowed some of your enginers to come to jadzia so they could build ships.

Yes...but how did you get them so fast? It can't be your starting fleet, as you didn't have the specs then.
"So much for my joke." I knew you guys would squawk when I put the Fork in my Flagship ... and it was just a joke. (I even told Mac you would "have kittens" about it ... but he was not here to tell you "KK's just being KK. It's a joke." Oh well...)
Of course I will edit out the Fork.
On the non-Flag ship upgrades: My only excuse is it was way past bedtime when I built my fleet. I'll replace the Hawks with Defenders. But it may be a few hours. (I really just popped in to see if my Fork caused a ruckus. (And thank you for taking the bait.))
NOTICE: ... Shade is quitting. He emailed me and asked me to tell everybody. He is having crazy server problems and cannot maintain a reliable connection. Shade asks that the non-passage policy (for Rebs and Feds) remain -- even though he has no power to enforce it now. He says if we want passage, we should first capture the system. (Also note that I, KK, am not taking advantage of my early intel and rushing straight to the story to capture Yemuro for the Rebs. (I just cannot be that ... sneaky.) I know, "What a great guy!" is what you're all thinking. (Thanks.))
I'll be back in a few hours. Be nice....

It's like when your enemy has sensor ghosts, and is making numerous attacks to your border worlds. You know that the chances are the attack is false, but you have to respond to it anyway.
5)Considering the Confederate's actions in Lethe would probably cause some discontnet among the Letheans, underground resistence probably would have sprung up, and they would have been in contact. I know this sounds far fetched, but think about it
Ok, I thought about it. I don't believe it.
6)What does that have to do with anything?
You have to act like you didn't know certain things, even if you saw them in the topic, because you wouldn't know them in real life.
8)In case you never read the intro text to EV, it says that the Confederation became tyrannical and unjust, and most people would oppose that.
All right. Say some bad people have just captured your planet, started ruining your crops, and basically ended your happy little life as an innocent farmer. However, there is a group of people who you heard were sort of mean to your planet before the planet gained independence, and they are trying to stop the bad people from ruining your life. Who do you side with? The bad people, of course! You even valiantly take some table salt and a shovel and try to destroy your crops to help the bad people, who are easily taking five minutes to cover one third of their planet with salt.
9)And I suppose it's reallistic to capture a planet in 5 minutes? Do not underestimate the citizens' power. They would resist, and by the time you would have put them all down it would be too late.
It wouldn't be to hard, actually, especially for the powerful Confederation. And most of the citizens would not resist. Some would, most wouldn't.
That's rediculous estimation, IMHO.

To BariSax: I'm pulling the whole 'We hate the people trying to ruin our livelihood because they dont like the people who told us to be nice and left our entire government in place'.
I hardly see even a large minority wanting to ruin their planets economy because they where told to. It wouldnt benefit them in any way.
